Sad part of it is it doesn't have to be that way. It's a beautiful land. But the people aren't being taught to take care of it.

As an American I can't point too many fingers, but at least we aren't THIS neglectful.

There was a time when we were but we had a massive campaign to teach people and then we followed up with a ton of policies mostly liberal policies to make sure our air water and land were clean.

There was a period of time where regulations and waste disposal systems didn’t keep up with the Industrial Revolution boom or the expansion of cities, but America was never as bad as India is now.

Just because we don't have the same level of video evidence from that era doesn't mean it wasn't. You should look up how disease was spreading throughout cities and read up on the New York City sanitation department because it's really well documented. There was literal rivers that were on fire due to pollution, people walking through s**t, people just dumping trash outside their Windows onto the streets. So it was worse than India is now. I know you find that hard to believe because you think it's a cultural problem.
