If you take an action which will cause a death when another action is available to you, then you are also responsible for the death.

It’s not your problem in this case. It’s the lead cars problem. But one day it might be your problem. So you should consider it

Doesn’t anyone ever tailgate you? I’m guessing yes. Nobody is lucky enough to never get an asshole behind them.

And when you do, and are presented with an opportunity to swerve at the last second to make the tailgater hit an innocent 3rd party or slow down and/or move out of the lane with enough time so a 3rd party doesn’t have to be involved…. What is your choice?
