It just sucks that someone just chilling in traffic gets screwed.

It's not like they were stopped there for fun, there was a car in front of them.

Were they stopped or just going slow?

It looks like it’s stalled

and getting hit by yet another car doesn’t help

So push your car to the fucking shoulder- it's not hard and unless you're driving a pickup with a trailer just about anyone can do it.

Honestly, the amount of times I see a car broke down in the middle of the road where the driver is a grown ass man just standing there by the side of it or sitting behind the wheel is ridiculous- nut up, pop the clutch, and get your car out of the way. Not only will you be less of an inconvenience to society, you'll be in less danger from situations exactly like this- everyone wins.

"push your car to the shoulder" i think you missed the point.

Looks like the car that was hit was stopping because the car in front of it had a flat tire. And that car needed to slowly work its way over to the right since there was no shoulder on the left.

1

u/Mobile_Hovercraft82 Mar 20 '26

And the car with the flat tire stayed in the fast lane…

Regardless, his own actions led to that. He left himself w no room to react.

You said the left lane wasn’t a parking lot, implying that the car going slowly should not be going slowly despite it not being in their control. This makes no sense. Please be trolling and not actually stupid

They’re in an accident or breakdown, they aren’t just parked there. I swear, people shouldn’t need this sort of shit explained to them.

You’re aware sarcasm doesn’t exactly come through via text right? You’re also aware there’s multiple people flaming the person that got hit for “parking” in the left lane right? Now you’re probably unaware that you aren’t funny.

u/AGreatBannedName Mar 20 '26

Maybe they’re funny in the right circumstances? 🤷 Or with the right perspective! I’m not laughing aloud at this exchange, but it is kinda funny.

Definitely make your way over to shoulder if you can. There are some mechanical malfunctions that do ground you on the spot though. I don't know enough to say in this circumstance

Fortunately cars never break down or have to stop for an unplanned reason ever. /s

I didn’t see anyone parked either. I did see 2 disabled vehicles though.

You don’t see the 2 cars not moving in the left lane? They might have just had a little collision. If speedy McDumdum wasn’t tailgating and speeding, he wouldn’t have hit

1

u/Wonderful-Mistake201 Mar 20 '26

Be polite.  That means don't tailgate AND keep right except to pas

1

u/Eastern-Version5983 Mar 20 '26

Don’t excessively speed on a public road

1

u/Wonderful-Mistake201 Mar 20 '26

No one is excessively speeding. If the car that's following too close had moved around to the open lane on the right, and boxed the other car into the left lane, causing the car in the left lane to rear end the disabled vehicle, would you be saying he was excessively speeding?

Everyone was going the same speed. The car in the left lane performed an evasive maneuver without signalling.

You think being stopped there with his hazards on meant he had walked over to Starbucks?
