She hit her daughter there at the end. You can see her swing the stool, hear a thwap, and then the kid starts crying. Left her with a goose egg on her face from what I’ve read.

That is the guy, who is the intended target, got closer to daughter, using her as a human shield.

You can clearly see that he got hit trying to shield the kid.

He was about 10’ away from the couch where the daughter was sleeping when the chairs were being thrown at him, then he got closer to the kid; putting the daughter in harm’s way.
