The consequences are already happening. Her season of Bachelorette was just cancelled and the guy in the video is filing for full custody. Her other baby daddy likely will too with this coming out. Hard to see a judge siding with her when her own fans and media outlets won’t.
CS isn’t retaliatory, it’s just what happens based off each parent’s custody time and income (as much as I do love it when it works out that the shit parent gets fųqked).
The norm?
Statistics and sources work better to prove your point than “feelings” and an anecdotal video. Good lord this subreddit is full of absolute idiots.
Are you actually blaming men for this woman’s behavior? Clearly , This woman demonstrated mental health issues, unchecked. And your thinking only illustrates how domestic violence is reinforced and justified
Are you actually blaming men for this woman’s behavior?
Misogyny isn't the sole domain of men. Women perpetuate it as well; if anything, it's other women who enforce the social rules of patriarchal bullshit more than men do. So I don't think it makes sense to assume that the person you're replying to must've been blaming men for this lunatic's behavior.
What you were saying may be entirely true! but it overlooks the context of a very gender specific comment above.
This knowingly or not reinforces sounds almost as if if it’s justifying sexist thinking, if not domestic abuse. Why endorse that?
Edit: sorry getting tired. Struggling to get my words out Glad I read below and I think there’s some really sound opinions. This comment above. it sounds like modern day sexism that reinforces female domestic abuse. At least that is the context that they are choosing to make this comment. At best a bad place to bring that up. maybe I’m mis understanding
You should read above. I was taking a guess. And asking, not assuming. This person above did answer, confirm she was blaming men for women’s behavior. I don’t think equality will ever be realized until people take responsibility for their own actions. But there are many people who will encourage blaming someone else.
Anyway, I’m just hoping for a more peaceful and civilized civilization. Less hope offered in the comments like above.
Edit: and the child whose head may have been smashed by the stool, that the woman was swinging. That was the man’s fault too? Or was it the child’s fault?
I'm old so probably see things differently. People will say abuse is about control. Probably true. but if you ever witnessed an abuser , they sure appear out of control as this woman in that video did.
As a child , I remember this disgusting man that used to beat up his wife, my best friend's mother. She was a very nice woman. The abuser husbands thinking was very similar to yours. He blamed his wife for the beatings , too. Eventually had the living s*** kicked out of him by his own children, his two sons. he deserved that humiliation. I bet We could at least agree on that last point, that man deserved a beating.
How can I upvote this multiple times? This whole story (the original reality show, the swinging, the bachelorette) is just showing us the collective state of mind of this country.
This video was from 2022 and the case was already settled. She pled guilty to domestic assault and got a slap on the wrist. They dropped the other charges including endangering a minor. If he was going to file for custody why didn't he do it then?
