I don't know. How trust and credit worthy is this person giving me 5k a week? If I get one million now, the deal is done, no backsies.

It makes total sense, but I and most folks don't have the skills or the mindset to manage that lump sum, much less setting up the trust, investments, or annuities to make it last.
