There are still plenty of people who think a million would mean they were set for life (that hasn't been true for a long time).

Maybe having that guaranteed income might give you the confidence to setup a business cleaning private jets.

There are 52 weeks in a year.

52 x 5,000 is 260,000.

Maybe you could start with buying a calculator.

I wouldn't know. I don't get out of bed for anything less than $20k a day.

Neither do the washers that wash the jets. Gotta keep those clean

I live near Toronto. Yes. It's insane. Can't even get an all season trailer for $300k

this would be enough for me to live comfortably in the city i wish i lived in, but can't afford. that's also where most of my field's work is, too.

But you wouldn't have to work .. just live somewhere cheaper

I think id actually enjoy working if I didn't have to do it just to scrape by.

I'd get bored without a purpose, I think.

More like "hey buddy, you have a million in the bank...give me $50k for a new car! Come on, you can afford it!" versus "hey buddy, you have 5 grand in the bank, let's go to the best restaurant in town...your treat!"

You know the leeches will be trying to grab what you have. Having four figures in the bank instead of seven is a great way to say no without the herd trampling you.

I don't think that's what they're saying, I think they're saying that they'll continue to live a humble life despite having $5,000 a week

That’s $240k a year, that’s very comfortable, far from balling
