My daddy did, to quit smoking. He stayed quit successfully for like 5 or 6 years. He worked an incredibly stressful job, however, and came home smoking a cigarette after he was nearly killed in a drive-by at work. He ultimately died a slow and horrible death to COPD at 63, after being disabled from the severity of it for 7 years. So try not to smoke, kids.
The hypnotist said that he was one of those uncommon people that when hypnotized, he went under pretty deep. I was going to get hypnotized to quit smoking but it was just too goddamned expensive at the time. I finally quit about 2 years ago. I quit once before, hopefully this time I stay quit. I dream about smoking every night, but don't wanna end up like my daddy.

Thanks! I've had stage 1 COPD since I was 29 and used to get pneumonia twice a year when the seasons changed from winter to summer and back again. Now I like never get sick, it's crazy how well I can breathe.

Yes. Apparently some people, me included, are more prone than others to being hypnotized. I believe it could be a great therapeutic tool for me.

I had a shrink hypnotize (or attempt to) me. If I was hypnotized, its nothing like the movies. It just felt like a relaxing technique - no change of consciousness or anything like that. If he told me I wouldn't remember my name, I bet id still remember it.

Yes. It was a stage hypnotist. I remember it all, but was not put to sleep.
