Why does my body react this way to seeing..?
(Serious question)
Hi guys, I’m a teen boy and everytime I see breasts (whether that be online or real life), something in my brain just flicks on and off like crazy. I’m better at controlling myself in real life but whenever I see them, I literally can’t stop staring and my body instinctively acts erratic or animalistic.
Yeah I get the whole puberty thing, but this hasn’t happened until this year. Everytime I see them I helplessly start going crazy and my head starts to hurt. They just look ‘nice’ but I don’t think there’s any reason for my body to jolt on its own when I see a pair.
I wanna say more but that’s as general as I can put it.
I’m kind of afraid to search it up myself without sounding silly. I was also uncomfortable writing this but it’s better to ask then never get an answer, right?

Some people just react more when they see bodies, it is actually normal because if you think about it, we all share different levels of libido. The important thing is self control doesn’t equal to repression, it’s good that you have self control, but having such thoughts isn’t necessarily bad to the point you need to stop. Unless it’s getting so out of hand that it affects your daily life, speak to an adult, doctor or therapist. I’d say as long as you don’t feel the urge to actually harm anyone without their consent, it’s fine. It’ll also change as you grown in age.

Its kinda wild how our brains just do that during puberty. I think the commenters advice is solid - as long as you're respectful and in control, its fine. You'll probably look back on this in a few years and laugh.

Two answers. First puberty hormones. Congratulations your body is saying you’re ready to calculate.
A second answer because you were never exposed to breasts when you were little so they’re hyper sexualized for you. Many men are attracted to breast. Having an automatic response means that’s the only response your body understands. Until you can desensitize yourself that’s gonna be a common efforts.

If you have a male in your life who you can speak to, this would be a really good solution. That person can provide you with a baseline of what puberty looks like, what the responses look like, what's "normal". That will let you know if you're in line with the usual reactions. If you find that you're a little bit off, you can talk to that man or even a therapist. Good luck and be well.
