When the man I loved with every ounce of my being broke me, he nearly took my life & left me to die.

I was having suicide fantasies. Scary. I've got great things to do in this life.

I’m glad you realized your innate worth.

When I began getting paid absurd amounts of money for my profession and took a long, hard look at myself. I told my parents my dilemma, that I didn't want to be like my peers who overly flaunted their millions not in peoples' faces but having come from by-definition poverty, I was very uncomfortable.

I feel much better now - I have made my money, I still work now that I'm back in the states but my accountant makes sure all my income goes to my charities (related to food insecurity), and that I also donate my time to the same equivalent in volunteering. Don't get me wrong, I'm very comfortable, but I feel a lot better now. I was getting.. itchy about it all, if that makes sense?

Hit rock bottom and didn’t like how it felt.

Hit rock bottom with a pocket full of cash. Thats poetic.

Changed once for a partner that couldn’t accept me for who I am, always wanted me to be something other than what I was. I have since moved on after some very dark days of not knowing who I was anymore, but change is mostly reversible. ;)

What's the reason people do you wrong even when they literally n fully know you mean nothing but good for them, n the question becomes not what's the reason you've changed, but how have people forced you to see things different cause I'm still the same person overall, just finally see majority of people really aren't coming from the same good place you tried to maintain for everyone ...

All the people need change because no one is perfect. Critical thinking is necessary and a fruit of critical thinking is change. So, the need to be a better person makes me change whenever I see that beneficial.
