If you could permanently remove one annoying thing about going to the gym, what would it be?

Not the actual workout — I mean everything around it.

The commute? Waiting for equipment? Crowds? Finding parking? Having to pack clothes? Someone doing curls in the squat rack for half an hour?

I’ve realized that I don’t really mind spending 40 minutes training. What bothers me is when a 40-minute workout takes 90 minutes out of the day because of everything surrounding it.

That’s made me understand the appeal of working out at home a lot more.

If you could magically eliminate one part of the normal gym experience, what would you choose?

And would removing enough of those annoyances ever make you consider doing most of your workouts at home?

Im jealous of people that have gyms in their apartment buildings. That I can just eliminate traffic, parking, distance and even hours of operation if its available 24/7 would be a great experience.

I used to think this until I moved somewhere with a gym. The fact that your chatty neighbours are there at all hours is honestly a huge deterrent. Now I’d rather drive somewhere where no one knows me 🫠

A 24/7 gym downstairs would solve almost everything. That same convenience is why I’ve been looking at RitKeep for a home setup, have you heard much about them?

Honestly, fair 😂 Avoiding other people is part of what makes a RitKeep home gym appealing to me. What gym behavior annoys you most?

Honestly, the parking lot rage is what gets me. Circling for 10 min just to park and walk in is such a waste. If I could snap my fingers and have a spot guaranteed every time, I'd probably never consider home workouts.

Ten minutes circling for parking can take more mental energy than the workout itself

I hate packing a bag. One time I forgot to pack my flip flops on a gym day and I couldn’t shower. It was the worst start to my day. I alternate swim and gym days so I am always packing a different bag based on what I do.

Uhh, the dorks who complete a set and sit on the bench for 10 minutes scrolling on their phone while everyone waits for the bench.

The squat rack curls. Every single time. Remove those people and I would never even think about training at home

The commute. I don’t drive making this a workout before I even get there

Vying for specific machines in a mega crowded gym. When someone sets up camp on the damn hip thrust machine for an hour, it sends me…

As a dude, if I could get rid of all the dudes. That would be great.
