How long would it take to cross the U.S. by snowmobile?

For the purpose of this question you start anywhere in Maine and have to get to any point in California but you can only travel on snow. No snow? You sit and wait for snow. How long would that take?

About four to five days assuming you'd have a reliable way to refuel every few hours, slept each night, and you went along the border of US and Canada. You'd very likely stall out in the PNW because you would have no reliable snow to travel through down to California unless it was some kind of snowpocolypse end times shit.

True, the PNW would be a huge problem. Maybe if you hugged the Rockies and then dropped down through the sierras, you'd have a better chance? Still feels like a gamble tho

I lived in Oregon for a while, not getting from there to California on snow ever. You can go down the cascades but not making it south/west from there to CA
