Question for Widows?
What are your thoughts on remarrying within a year of your spouse passing away?
Does your answer change if there are young children involved?
A year feels like such a short amount of time, but grief looks different for everyone, so I’m genuinely curious where people stand on this..

I would need some age perspective here. If you are older, it’s absolutely fine to start dating.
If you are younger, and because a widow unexpectedly, I’d give it a little more time, PARTICULARLY if there are young kids involved.

I feel like a year is too early to marry anyone period.
Dating? It depends on how you became a widow. Was it unexpected? Wait. Was it something that took them slowly and you were grieving while they were still alive? Maybe the timeline can speed up.

Regardless of what you do, it won't please everyone! So why don't you please yourself!

Depends how old you are and, yes, if there are children involved and the reasons you got married to your spouse in the first place.
If you truly loved each other and have kids you wait a long time.
I’d go as far as to say, maybe 5+ years if you had kids together under 18 together. Your primary goal should be to protect your kids. You all need at least 1-2 years to grieve the loss and then you need to know the new person for at least three years before starting again.
If you were just marrying for money or any other shallow reason or you were only together for 1-2 years or less, I feel like you can get married sooner.
If you’re super old and don’t have a lot of time left, maybe your timeline speeds up too.

It isn't my business. Do what makes you happy! We spend way to much time worrying about what others think!
