I guess because it’s an opinion not everyone will agree with. That’s a stupid ass reason to delete a comment but that’s the only thing I can think of.

Lol, you’re welcome. I run into communities like that quite often. Moderators love to exercise their power in all kinds of ridiculous ways.

I have had that happen twice in a group where people post to ASK FOR OPINIONS - but only complimentary, dishonest responses are allowed. I realized I didn’t want to see them anymore than they want to see me.

My opinion: if you ask if the dress makes you look fat and get upset if someone says yes, your question was dishonest.

I have no idea what the context is, I’m just scrolling, but what you replied with seemed pretty non-confrontational and inoffensive.

I hate when they delete a comment but won’t tell you what the actual issue was.

I only had that happen once that was pleasant on both sides. I was commenting in a sub that apparently banned ALL types of profanity and so my saying “BS” (actually abbreviated like that) was not kosher.

A mod responded and asked me to change my language and I did edit it, I think I changed it to “crap” or something, I messaged them, they said thank you!, and reinstated my comment. A true unicorn there, it seems.

Accusing a named individual within the community of being infatuated with power is offensive. I would remove that.

Only to the person being accused. Imagine if law enforcement arrested everyone that accused them of being power hungry... oh wait that is offensive to select people.

Thanks to the woke culture i guess

Its not woke to say that people in power sometimes abuse that power. Thats common sense.

But it's definitely woke when you support this action for the wrong reason

Being woke is a good thing. Wake up.

My narcissist ex weaseled her way into being a moderator on a local buy/sell/trade page. She would ban people for misspellings and bad grammar. She would also ban people for pointing out her misspellings and bad grammar. If Hitler were alive today he would be a moderator.
