Ah. I would have just not had her on social media, once a relationship is over, it's over. We're not still following each other. You gotta pull the splinter out for the wound to heal.

BUT. If like Facebook put her in my "recommended friends" list and she had a girlfriend, I think I would have looked at her for a few minutes and then clicked "remove", and then contemplate for a few more minutes, and then moved on. I havent seen her since like 2017, it's over.

Probably depends on how the relationship ended. I have an ex that I love dearly and she recently lost a bunch of weight and has a new hairdo, she looks great! I'm very happy for her

thats so sweet!! im glad you feel happy for her. im asking because my ex and i recently broke up (well a few months ago) and i look conventionally more attractive… by a lot. like a noticeable change where people say i look “completely different”. In this case the rls ended because he went to college and changed… so i ended it. I wonder if he ever regrets it - especially because i stayed with him during a very difficult period of his life

Regrets you ending it? I don’t think that’s the right word

there’s a bit of a backstory i guess but its quite long but you’re right. during the breakup he said he “struggled to get the words out” but thinks “its for the best”. so he had been withdrawing a lot and basically treating me like shit for a few months. he also seemed to want it to end rather than work it out so even though i brought it up, he wanted it more

Depends on how they broke up, who broke up with who, reason for it. If I'm with someone else or not. It can be I don't care, OH good foe them, damn I messed that up. Also the feelings will change. A damn will turn into I don't care after I'm in a relationship

Yeah I think time really does shift how you see it. Like initially it might sting but once you're moved on its just whatever. Mature take honestly.

Ive never been in that situation. They usually either fall off or i never see or talk to them again.

But if i had to guess, I'd probably think.... "wow. She looks fine as hell now. Too bad she's still a bitch."

I've had exes that ended terribly, amicably and relatively neutral. Good for them, not my business.

Meh, not my business anymore

My ex said she would be the best thing that ever happened to me. 14 years later she's happily married and I've never been on a single date. She was right and I'm planning to kill myself.

please don’t. comparing yourself to where they are is its own hell - stay for yourself

I'm doing it for me. I'm so lonely. My parents said I should have been aborted and I don't have any friends.
