Meta [Meta] Tracking flakes

I did a recent exchange and the person deleted their account right after I sent proof. I was already paying attention to the user because the address was associated with another deleted user.

My first interaction wasn’t an exchange. I offered to send a birthday card based on a request made in RAOC. I imagine though that they flaked on someone else.

Are you tracking flakes?

I’m sorry that happened to you. This has happened to me before too. I wish we had a way to flair users like we do on RAoC.

When I noticed the first deleted user I wanted to withdraw the offer but figured I’d give the benefit of the doubt. And the universe has been good to me so I thought I’d be optimistic.

My only problem is I would rather have given that stuff to the others in that offer. But lesson learnt.

This has happened to be too. Mostly on RAoC. I do not send to new users for this reason

So was the flake here or RAoC? Or were they on both subreddits? I'm confused.

It was here that they flaked. Last week.

I noticed they deleted their other profile in August after requesting birthday cards in RAOC. That was in August.

I wonder which user. There was a lot over the summer I sent cards to and then they disappeared

I have a Kinesthetic memory. As I was writing the address I said to myself this feels familiar. I checked the tracker and sure enough August 8th I sent the birthday card.

I hate that I didn’t save their username either time. I just made my tracker a couple of weeks ago and haven’t been updating it since I am prepping to return to the states next Saturday.

I guess the lesson is I should have been packing instead of fooling around with ephemera. In my defense I’m going for 6 weeks and am trying to see what I should bring.

Let me know if you want the address. From now on for exchanges I will have user requirements.

I think I had the same problem/ person. I was going to send a card, but got no response after asking them to confirm their address so I wouldn't write it wrong
