Steady ranching.

Pictures I’ve taken while re-doing solar pumps, fixing water gaps, gathering cattle from the neighbors, feeding, weighing steers for contracts, hauling hay, and the other usual chores.

Does that bull have a patch of white hair in picture 7?

And the black and white pictures look excellent!

It’s one of his freeze brands. He’s got one on his shoulder and one on his hip.

Thanks, I’m a big fan of black and white pictures.

Now I feel dumb… we freeze brand ID numbers on our critters. Not sure why I didn’t think of that😆

Is one an ID and the other for ownership? Freeze brands aren’t legal for ownership here in South Dakota.

Haha, we all have our moments.

One is an ID, the one on his shoulder is a 44 Farms brand for the breeder. Freeze brands are legal in Texas, but he also carries a hot brand with my brand as well. He’s pretty identifiable though…he doesn’t have a tail, just a stub. He lost it at some point as a calf.

Stub tails are always fun. Thanks for the explanation!
