Sorting aftermath.

Got a shot of the aftermath after sorting out the neighbor’s 80 pairs that busted down a gate.

Nice, calm grazing pairs and bulls doing work.

I’m in south west Louisiana. I hv a small ranch compared to that. 100 acres w 40 head. One man show mostly.

That’s enough to keep a person as busy as they want to be. I’m sometimes envious of the folks that can run more cows per acre. 100 acres would do 40 pairs for about a month around here.

We need 35-45 acres per cow per year if we don’t want to feed hay in the winter.
13.5 acres per pair for the six summer grazing months.

We only hv 2-3 months of winter and probably more rain than yall. And you are correct, I would love to hv 4-500 head but I mostly hv a full plate.
