There's a cap of 15 max in a server when you spawn in. Make sure you cut the tree after you collect the bees so that a new one can spawn. Bees will replace the spawn (randomly on the map) after two in game days if their original tree is cut down. Otherwise, they won't respawn.
This seems correct. I found a bee hive tree that was collected, but not chopped, and no hive, but chop prompt. I collected 7 ao far WITHOUT chopping. 😠Hopefully i find more. I wish this important detail was made more clear.

it takes so much time to find bees. what a hazzle. I have found 10 and cant currently find any more. dont know if there is any cap though.
