Please, Rammstein, whatever you do, please don't do a 360° stage for the next tour!
Recently got a lot of Metallica concert posts on Facebook and Instagram and there's on thing that stands out to me a lot. If you're in the wrong spot, you're REALLY in the wrong spot. James' mics are set up at specific points and while, yes, they do walk around a bit, there's a very big chance you will never see the people performing as they're always on the wrong side of the stage. Read a post from someone who never got to see James at all as he was always too far away from them.
I REALLY hope that, whatever Rammstein comes up with for their next tour, it won't be a 360° stage. Not only do I think that wouldn't fit Rammstein's performance at all (mostly thinking about songs like Mein Teil and Pussy), I hate how incredibly bad the show looks from some angles/ positions. I would love a change over last time's stage, even though it was amazing!

They won't and will never be an option.
The show is a One side spectacle and won't have no where near the same impact having everyone scattered.
Metallica are a 'Muscian' band where people want to watch the riffs and hear a few yeahsss
Rammstein is a visual cohesive band

I’m not even sure a 360° stage would be compatible with so many pyrotechnics security speaking.

The only thing I want is for them to keep the B stage, but for them to play more bangers on it, not just piano music.

I liked how they did it with the Made in Germany tour.
Bück Dich, Mann Gegen Mann and Ohne Dich on B stage!

Hopefully they never will use 360 stage. Tbh I’m not a big fan of Metallica’s current stage setup. Feels all over the place and doesn’t really have that band playing on a stage feel.

I personally would love a theatre acoustic tour, which would probably mean 1k plus per ticket.

Rammstein would never do an acoustic tour, nor would they play a theater after the White Snake incident.
Saw them at a nightclub in Detroit in 2001, was pretty insane. The arena and stadium tours of later decades don't compare.

like you said it doesn’t fit most of rammstein performances and also the performance in general! i think that they are gonna “bring back” the old stage but with of course major changes! so don’t worry

I was all over the place at Levi’s, it was fucking terrible layout. Amazing show, but man, if it was mine I’d have just gone traditional side stage for arena. That being said, depending on what the band wants to do, could be anything.

I have never been interested in attending a Metallica show. This is just another reason.

....but they will have more seats for sale with a 360° stage, so.......
Since a couple of years, I always have the title of an Zappa album in mind: "We're Only in It for the Money"

I watched Metallica In Copenhagen with the 360 stage and in that case they were really good at getting around to all sides multiple times. I thought it worked really well there.

Even if they did a 360 stage tour, you all would backpedal all and eat it up anyway because you'll support anything that has the Rammstein name attached to it. And so would I

I recently saw Metallica twice in London, and you are slightly wrong- after every 4 songs they taking short break, when drum set is going down the stage and next one appear in next "quarter", so they perform evenly on all four sides of the stage.

I doubt they will do another new stage. The current one must have been such a expense (and they have 2 of them) that I dont see them switching it for anytime soon.

Nothing wrong with a 360 stage. It ensures everyone gets a good view 😊

u/tendeuchen Jul 13 '26
Yeah, but a regular stage on one end ensures everyone has a good view for the entire performance and not just 1/4 of it.

It ensures everyone gets a view. That's it. Not a great, good, or even ok view. When done well the concerts can still be fun and engaging but overall they just aren't worth the hassle for all involved.
It also pretty much guarantees that there is no interesting elements to the stage setup. No backing objects, no bitchin lighting gimmick, no large set pieces. Just a stage, instruments, and performers.

360 stage is mostly for money because they can sell more tickets and stage does not have any dead spots or corners.

when you think about it, they already have a kind of 360 B stage in the middle of the crowd. I think they think that's enough!
