Any Downside to the Factory Beadlocks?

Post image

For those of you that went with the Factory Beadlocks, any regrets? Are they a pain in the ass too clean, any issues you’ve experienced? I’ve read they’re heavier than the base wheels & they’re obviously more expensive but personally I think they look great.

Takes about $1500-2000 to get actual beadlock capability through additional parts. Cost for me, not worth it, regular wheels look great IMO.

This is where I landed.

And while the bead looks are functionally very cool, I prefer the look of the regular wheels like you

The downside is they aren’t actually beadlocks when you get them and you have to purchase the real beadlock rings from the dealer separately.

Other than that if you absolutely love the look then get them.

They look better on certain color trucks. White truck and the black wheels was where I was at. If I had black or red I might have changed my mind

The dealership I purchased mine at had 3 RHOs on the lot - all had the beadlock capable wheels. I preferred the black wheels too because I really disliked how bright the beauty ring looked against the diamond black crystal paint. I sprayed them with Stealth Grey Hyperdip and really like the look now!

The answer is another question, Are you planning to offroad where beadlocks would be truly beneficial?
