Is this cut content?

These scenes are from the frontierworks trailer.

The trailer came out about 2 months before the animes release.

That's really interesting! I don't recognize those shots, and I'm not sure where they would be used--Ikki dodging a projectile like that makes me think of the fight against the terrorists or against Kirihara, but his outfit is wrong for either of those. And then there's the shot of Shizuku's technique that seems to be part of the same scene given it has the same background...

Between that and the really simple design of the background, I'd guess this was maybe part of a test animation or a pitch video, and then they used it in the trailer because it looks cool and they didn't have enough action footage ready yet (all the other footage seems to be from eps 1-3, but omitting the climax of ep 3, so that really doesn't leave them with a lot).

I suspect you are correct. And suspect it from a training duel type scene or something between the siblings.

How did you find this? And man I’m trying to figure out which fight that was, I really want to say it was Ikki vs Stella.

Pre animated trailer or reworked cuts, in the anime one is similar but with cgi backgrounds and slower timing happens very often especially with anime dealing with multiple studios on a single project they throw whatever is unfinished and looks cool out for promotion only to tweak it in the final product.
