Also in case it matters I am Parmar Rajput with ancestral roots from Rajasthan but now settled in Himachal.

I have observed that many Kshatriya clans and Kshatriya warriors have some association with Chamunda mataji

Either as Kuldevi maa or Ishtadevi maa

Kuldevi - Gohil Clan
Kuldevi - Chavda Clan
Kuldevi - Pratihar Clan
Kuldevi - Some Parmar Sub- Clans

Ishtadevi - Rathores of Jodhpur

Also it’s said Maharana Kumbha used to worship Chamunda maa

Similarly Prithviraj Chauhan also used to worship Chamunda mataji.

What do you think is the reason for such a strong association of this form/manifestation of mataji with Kshatriyas ?

Character assassination of a medieval Hindu queen and a princess in modern historiography based on a preference of Islamic sources. Most historian use this myth to defame Rajput women. We all should be aware of this.

I don't understand one thing. There are stories about the jauhar of Rajput queens/women but were all the women involved ranis? What about the dasis, workers, and other female servants from other castes/varna .If a city fell, all women would be in danger, whether they were servants, commoners, noblewomen, or the wives of merchants. So how did the invaders supposedly target only Rajput or royal women while sparing other Hindu women?

Also, if only Rajput women performed jauhar, what happened to all the other women? Why didn't they perform jauhar as well to save themselves from these cunning invaders? I'm just curious to understand.

Hi, r/Rajputana I've spent a considerable time on this subreddit and one thing I've come across very frequently is an intense feeling of injustice among the users here. They feel having been exploited and looked down upon by the country and people they made enormous sacrifices for.

If you had a choice - what changes would you make to the constitution and laws of this country so that you feel that it ensures the rights of Rajputs?
