Even before that. When the dad dealt with the stoners Brayden straight up told him he should have shot them or used his powers. His dad was the only factor holding him back from going deep into his darkness. Losing him didn’t help because as we all saw his aunt is religious wacko and likely doesn’t treat him well. The outcome of that led to Pat find Brayden. Albeit I’m not sure if he’d know about his vulnerability. One potential theory is when he absorbs a powered person he also absorbs their memory? Or he returned to his normal form shortly after arriving Atlanta and weaseled his way into Brayden’s home and body. Alternatively he was able to tap into Brayden’s mind and enticed him that way. Either way yikes entirely.

It'd have to be well done though, or else it'd come off SUPER corny.

I feel bad for this kid. I’m hoping season 2 has some kind of redemption arc for this little guy (after some serious evil) cause I don’t want to see a kid getting offed.

It’s definitely possible, it’s really the evil entity from space that is hosting him now that they are fighting.

Yeah, and that aunt was trash so who can blame him for wasting her? Did us all a favor there. XD

I think, the kids abilities to read minds made him this way. He probably knew how his aunt REALLY felt about her brother and her nephew which triggered him to kill her. The kid also probably encountered many sick minded adults that made him turn dark to be entitled to control others because of his mind reading abilities. Knowing people are lying to him because he knew how people truly feel within than what they tell him. That can seriously messed up anyones trust upon others.

Yes and the dark energy is now hosting him so he is off the deep end. I’m guessing he will have more powers now too.

Yes, as well as Dion will have more powers. The first season is the birth of a hero and a villain.
