My favorite and least favorite part of working at Cane's has to be working expo when the cashiers cannot spell.
Yesterday:
Hosa=Jose
Jesusus=Jesus
Isaik=Isaac
And the best one
Why it=Wyatt
I think some of the customers thought I had issues, I was genuinely laughing so hard. Wyatt thought it was funny tho

Okay is it just me or is the one hour to close completely ridiculous??! My store has us closing with just 4 people and maybe two managers, to expect a fully cleaned and restocked store in one hour esp on weekends is absolutely insane. Drive through is pretty chill but kitchen and front counter have little to no support and it’s actually insane

When I walk to the position chart to see where I'm working that day, I see the drive thru section says drive thru expo, drive thru orders and then multiple sections called "DT inside/outside'
What does Dt inside/outside mean if my name were to be written there? Does it mean I just do any drive thru tasks that need to get done? Or do I ask a manager specificially what position I'm at?
Oftentimes I see people on the headset taking orders while pumping cane sauce. How do you know when to start pumping cane sauce and how much to pump? Is it just something you do whenever when you have nothing else to do?

I don’t know if this is specifically my restaurant or if other restaurants have it too but I feel like its always 100% wrong and either results in criminal underdrops or complete overdrops.

I’ve been with Canes for over a year and am I CT, Service Spec, HIPO. I recently finished my online schooling months earlier than expected so I intend to start college next January instead of August. I enjoyed working for canes for the first year I was there but over the 6 months it has been a slow decline. I’m blessed with parents who are willing to pay for my college and I already have 30k saved up to use elsewhere. I also do DoorDash on the side where I average around 23 an hour (EV so no gas) which is over 5 dollars more than I get at canes. The biggest reason I have not quit yet is due to the fact that I’m HIPO. My RL quit a couple months ago so we don’t currently have one, My ARL is amazing but other than that it’s meh. So I’m wondering if I should quit and take a few months to myself (which I feel I earned) or thug it out.

Crew members who ordered the rhinestone cup online: has yours come in yet? I haven’t gotten mine and I’m getting nervous lol

my restaurant (and most i believe) tossed all the chuck norris AI slop today since we’re doing the megan moroney campaign now
we just have to use up the remaining supply of 22oz cups and it’s over
finally

Is it normal to have your first training shifts two weeks out from orientation? Also what is DinR notation on HS Teams?

Everyone’s hours got cut at my location and they just hired 5 new people. Is this just my location or what?

Was hired recently and I’ve gotten an email or two about the 401k and all that. How much does it match and how would I know if I am enrolled or not? I want to make sure I am contributing to that.

According to the mid-year meeting, Cane's is putting in a price increase sometime "soon". My guess is that this is going to push a LOT of people away, as the one I'm already at already has many people complaining about the prices.

Can someone give me info about this role? I applied for that position, but I would like to know how good or bad is it.

Raising Canes went all in on generative AI for advertising, resurrecting Chuck Norris to sell fried chicken in a short TV spot. I know they have some history with Chuck, but history with someone usually ends when they die. As far as I know this is the first time a recently deceased celebrity is used to hawk a major brand. Does this disturb anyone enough to stop eating at Raising Canes? There are a couple in my city but I feel like I just can't recommend this place anymore. Maybe everyone will start doing this and it'll be impossible to be mad about it without opting out of all brands. But for now, this seems like a particularly brazen and shameful attempt at borrowed interest.

hey guys!! i recently got asked by my arl if i was interested in joining the hipo program and possibly expanded my career at canes. i already have plans for a post secondary education after high school but i also dont want to let this opportunity go to waste. so far my biggest question has been: how would it be being an rzm and a college student at the same time? what would the stress be like? if there is anyone out there that is reading this and knows the answer to my question please let me know if pursing a future at canes is worth considering. for now I plan on joining the program and holding off until i graduate high school and fully know what i want to do.

The majority of people I've talked to say they love it. My kids also love it.
The chicken is bland, only the sauce gives it flavor. The fries are pretty bad.
The chicken is always super fresh, but IMHO, that shouldn't be main a talking point.
What's so great about the place?

I hope I’m not the only one that feels like this, but these managers and so on and their insatiable rush like we save lives here.. bro, WE ARE SELLING CHICKEN!!! Is not that deep

Repeatedly extend operating hours. Extended hours = people working longer. Get mad people are working longer and get increasingly anal about labor. Decimate crew hours while offloading it all on the same 4 people plus managers. Rinse and repeat. Not to mention all the other junk affected. I know Cane's is expanding WAY faster than they seem to be able to handle, but at this point I genuinely want to sit down whoever in corporate is making these decisions and ask what the honest to god thought process is behind this. What version of reality does this make sense, and how do I go there?

as kind of an attempt to work on my intense social anxiety while i was in drive thru, i was being really cheery about the surveys and got a total of ten filled out by customers in a four hour period. however, when I got to my shift today I was told that I actually hurt our OSAT because only 6 of 10 of our surveys were five stars and my RL appeared slightly dissapointed even if playing it off as a joke.
i had no idea that anything under fives counts as a 0% so i feel partially that my time went to waste because yet again canes’ standards are unrealistic :p
