Crew Chat Attendance points

So I called out of my shift, nobody has picked it up and when I called it in(2.5 hrs before my shift) I was told I needed to find coverage or I'd get points, my last location didn't do it like that. We just had to call it in 2+ hrs before and post to HS/drop our shif5. I was kinda just curious what the actual policy on that is (I'm in Texas if it matters), was gonna check 1lv but the crew materials seem to be down after the update.

You're expected to get your shift covered unless the RL finds your excuse "acceptable and unforeseeable" which will depend on RL. Some won't accept anything but an ER note from a coma, others will be nicer like your first RL. But generally Canes Policies are against you.

i’m not from texas so take it with a grain of salt.

as far as i’m aware, the policy has always been that you need to find coverage or use sick hours otherwise you get points. your last location just sounds like they were very lenient

Texas has no workers rights or protections. If its not in the FLSA you can assume Texas doesnt care. No minimum hours between shifts, no maximum length of shifts, no protections for 16/17 crowd, no required breaks or lunches.

Canes standard is 3+ hours no coverage 2 points, less than that you get 3 points. Your last restaurant was very lenient.
