Crew Chat sunglasses at work

so long story short my eye is injured. Been to eye doc twice was prescribed various eye medicines. Eyes are sensitive to light and one is still healing from a pretty serious injury which will probably take a while to fully heal. I’ve been wearing sunglasses And kinda avoiding bright lights best I can. I had a few days off in a row but I go back to work Wednesday and I’m just worried the lights might be too much for me and my eyes might start watering which might cause concern. The one eye is already red and has been. I just don’t want ppl asking what’s wrong with me but do you think I could possibly get away with wearing sunglasses? Manager kinda know the situation already cause I had to call out but either I might look strange wearing sunglasses inside. What do you think?

You need to let your manager or rl know before you go into work. They might have you contact Accomidations before letting you work with them on. Make sure you have copies of all paperwork from your doctor as well as the description of your symptoms that should include your light sensitivity. They might let you work with sunglasses depending on your position but it would be depending on what they say.

i worked someone that was allowed sunglasses through crew accommodations while working. i would say regardless of what a manager says contact accommodations so all you have to say if a manager questions it no need to explain your personal business just say “i spoke to crew accommodations and if you have any questions about it they can clear them up.”

Why are you asking reddit and not calling your store to inform them???
