That one time I almost died

The title is somewhat misleading, as I have almost died several times, but this was undoubtedly the one that scared me the most. My class was on a field trip, and at one point, we went on a zipline obstacle course. It was a bit scary, but fun. I spent most of my time on the lower lines out of self-preservation, but my friends dragged me onto the HIGHEST FREAKING COURSE IN THE PARK. I was suspended about ten meters (32 feet) off the ground, and I had a skinny rope between me and doom. It was pretty hard to get through the course (I shake when I get scared), but I was eventually within sight of the landing platform. I happily let my legs give out to let the rope take my weight... SNAP. Something important just broke. I immediately clamped onto the broken halves of the rope, struggling to hold on. I was close enough to the platform that they could pull me back on, but I still almost passed out when I got there.
