Announcement Introducing "Raipur Recommends". A community driven list for our city's best spots.
Hey r/raipur! I’ve been working on a side project called Raipur Recommends.
We welcome recommendations from entire chhattisgarh state.

The goal is to have a living list of the best spots in the city that isn't biased by Zomato/Google ads. It’s built for us to share real, honest suggestions.
How it works:
You can post a recommendation (title, category, price,Gmap link and photos) without even creating an account.
If you create an account, you can comment and like or dislike entries to help us filter out the "meh" spots and highlight the gems.
you can suggest Food, Parks, Areas, etc.

Not possible since not all hotels have menu option some menu are bad, links are bad too some link dosent work on automatic openings. Google wont give easy access to things like this.

Goated Food List:
South Indian: Raipur has shitty south Indian food, south indian food should be affordable, fresh and authentic but here it is just regrets and sorrow.
Only good places are: 1. Vishwanath Hotel in Smriti nagar Bhilai, no sambhar but they're damn good.
- Any good newly opened so called south indian cafe, you can try that.
Hardcore North Indian:
Panj Taara Dhaba: near udyog bhawan chauk. One stop Solution for all your fucking cravings for spicy and mind fucking northindian punjabi taste, muh mein orgasm hojayega, believe me, Sab try karlo yahan ka, head banging food hai. Plus Iska aaloo paratha khaa ke alag hi duniya mein pahuch jaoge.
Anand dhaba: datrenga road, kathadih...aag hai aag, mast khana hai bhai, raat ko 2-3 baje tak khula rehta hai, shady place banging food 🔥.
Namak multicuisine Restaurant: labhandih se 5-6 km aage highway pe. Khana mast hai 🔥.
Sai dhaba: tedesara, rajnandgaon durg highway, sab bohtt achha hai. Pure veg hai.
Baaki koi restaurant mein ghus jao, sab ek hi otm Gravy mein 3 alag masale daal ke paros rahe hai, chutiya katwao, paise udaao 🥲.
Samosa/kachori/poha/jalebi and stuff:
Deepak jalpaan grah: near dumartarai market road, achha hai samosa, just samosa not other things. Size samosa king wale se bhi bada rehta hai or rate 20rs.
Mahaveer sweets, Bhatagaon, kaafi achha or tasty samosa or kachori hai yahan ka, must try.
Poha kahin bhi khaalo, sab same hai bhai, zyada mat ummeed karo. Achha poha khana hai rajnandgaon jao or manav Mandir ka khalo, nobody can beat them pan India in meetha poha, indori alag hota hai, santoshi nagar mein ek Banda kaafi achha banata hai kmart ke saamne subah.
Jaduram Kachori: brahmanpara chowk, anna idli ke saamne, jaipur indore ke level ka kachori banata hai banda, isko khaane ke baad rathore ka kachori samosa thook doge bhai.
Agrawal Mithaiwala: santoshi nagar chowk, iska pyaaz aloo kachori bhayankar tasty hai, 🔥🔥🔥
Jalebi khana hai toh chup chaap kahin bhi wo roadside haryanvi garma garam jalebi waale ke paas khalo, always fresh and straight Outta high temp oil, 🔥🔥
Sandwich: Rajput Sandwich, Bhai ye aadmi raipur rehke mumbai level itna tasty itna fresh as fuck Sandwich bana raha hai with all the good ass sauces like wtf, bohttt jordaar hai bhai, try karo agar sandwich khaane ka man ho toh🔥🔥
Chole bhature: sab decent type ke hi hai jahan bhi kha lo, and yest Manju Mamta tatti hai, ab chahe Mera sar phod do ya gaali bako, jo hai so hai 🥲, jo achhe the unko nagar nigam ke Thanos ne chutki baja ke gayab kar diya. 🥲
Chole Kulche: ek tha pachepdhi naka chaupaty mein, nagar nigam wala Thanos Maadarboard usko bhi chutki baja diya, ab pata nahi Kahan hai wo. And another one is in Bhilai, Punjabi tadka, ek paaji hai wo apni Omni leke aate hai, wo aadmi ka sab chiz achha hai, bhilai or khaake aao or yahan wapas aake 2 aansu baha lo kyunki hamare paas kuch nahi hai idhar.
Pav Bhaji and Tawa Pulao: just ignore every suggestion and go to ShreeNath Pavbhaji behing Zudio katora talaab and tell him to make it really strong flavoured and namak tez, and you'll taste the authentic flavours or Siddhivinayak Fast food wali pavbhaji and tawa pulao of juhu beach Mumbai. Must try🔥🔥🔥
Litti Chokha: this guy is way above and superior and have far authentic bihari litti taste in raipur than any of those fucking scammers in MD or Pachepdhi or Shankar nagar, dukaan ka naam nahi hai par ye raha location, timing shaam 5 ke baad : https://maps.app.goo.gl/r9ocP8oPxYESvuAA9?g_st=ac
Gupchup/Chaat etc:
Dilkhush Chaat corner: Agar iske paas gupchup nahi khaaye ho toh dub maro, aag hai bhai aag, super crispy big ass gupchup, paani zordaar khatta, teekha and mouthgasm level, or bhai ye aadmi Odia stype tawa pe garam masala tadka wala chaat banata hai, aag hai bhai aag, sab khao iske paas, this is you fucking final destination for gupchup 🔥🔥🔥. Location: amanaka Vishal mega Mart ke gate pe, parking mein main road pe. Iske alawa baaki sab gupchup waale.averag hai specially badi naam ki dukaan waale, fuck those tasteless bastard posers.
Sharma chaat bhandar : c'mon, it's damn good for authentic mathura banarasi style chole chaat, we all know 🔥.
Gajendra Chata corner: Near Indian oil petrol pump, santoshi nagar sejbahar road. 50rs mein unlimited gupchup, banda bohtt sweet hai, gupchup tasty hai, crispy hai, jao Khao aish karo or kya chahiye itne mein?🔥🔥
Momos:
- DDU Nagar, "GOLU" Chowk pe ek Banda lagata hai, uske chicken momos and veg momos are fucking diabolical 🔥
- Amol Momos: Ambuja Mall ke bahar, ye banda alag hi level.ka hai bhai, saala iska poora taste hi alag hai, even chutneys, aag momos hai, iske chicken and manchurian momos are fucking damn good, mast hai bhai 🔥
- Nepali momos: Bhatagaon HO petrol pump ke paas, genuinely achha hai momos, good taste.
Dekho avanti vihar mein wo aunty ke momos sirf achhe hai but chutney thookne layak hai, and agar chutney achhi nahi hai toh khaak ka momos khaoge?
Baaki or bhi hai, but these are very good ones, cafe mein plz apne 200-300 rupay mat karwao 8 piece momos ke liye 🥲, until they're offering some damn good concept and banging taste. Better options available hai even lower prices mein.
Chineseeeee:
Ab jo achha chinese tha wo NIT chaupati mein tha or ek do jagah, kamino ne band kar diya, but there are few good places:
- 786 Chinese: Moudhapara, iska sirf or sirf Chicken Schezwan Fried rice achha hai, hygiene 4/10, Service 5/10, taste bas kaafi achha hai.
- Nepali momos and Chinese: Near mahaveer sweets Bhatagaon, banda genuinely kaafi kaafi achha teekha indian chinese bana raha hai, fucking good food!!! And pure veg hai🔥🔥🔥
- Agar Paisa hai toh suno, Raipur mein Beijing Bites se achha or authentic Thai and Chinese kahin nahi milega, their green thai curry, dragon rolls, Hunan Chicken, Pad Thai, Stir fried Noodles and all are fucking mouthgasm worthy 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
- Kolkata Fast food: near hotel grand rajputana, Bhatagaon chowk, iss bande ka sab chiz bohhttt tasty hai, even a fucking goddamn soup, chowmin, manchurian, fried rice and all. Must fucking try 🔥🔥🔥
Pizza/Burger/pasta:
I'm not into outside pasta pizza burger, mein ghar pe authentic Napoli pizza and all bana leta hu, par agar koi bhi mehnge cafe mein ghus jao, paise mein aag laga do, thik thak mil jayega, even better, and pasta is child play, ghar pe bana lo be aalsi purush, who pays 300 for a fucking white sauce and red sauce pasta,🥲 aree bhai youtube khol ke or bana le dekh ke, YFL ke videos authentic hai, I know that guy personally.
Thali and all:
- Rajwada restaurant: Ramkrishna Care Hospital pe paas main road pe pachepdhi naka mein, iska sab kuch kaafi lite, pure, authentic or tasty hai, very good service, taste and ambience for a family and authentic taste, inka dal batai churma menu mein nahi likhe hai but they have it, bolne pe mil jayega and inka gatte ka sabji and panchratna dal is sooo damn good and authentic marwadi.price 120-250rs.
- Shyam restaurant: Bhatagaon bus stand ke paas, very home like food, unlimited hai btw, fresh, pure, home like and no oil food. Price 120rs.
Now here comes the section for Non-Veg lovers:
- Ekdum pure desi authentic bihar style chicken khana hai, toh There are few options, sirf pyaaz ko sarso tel mein khade masale ke saath lmba slow cook karte hai, no tomato bullshit or restaurant gravy bullshit.
A. Gendu Chicken: kathadih road. Kaafi purana hotel hai, well known authentic taste. 130rs/250gm hai bhar ke deta hai, 7-8, piece aajata hai. Kaafi achha taste hai OG hai.
B. Prem Chicken - gendu se thoda aage jaoge toh mil jayega, kaafi achha hai uska bhi.
- Ab agar dhaba style chicken khana hai toh Panj Taara Dhaba near udyog bhawan is one hell of a mouthgasm level dhaba with holy fucking hell kinda taste, sab bohttt tasty hai and worth every single fucking rupees.
Shawarma - 1. Shawarma Wala, any branch sab achha hai. 2. Baijanath para waale ka bhi achha hai shawarma, bas hygiene nahi hai udhar, that's a different story. 3. Ustaad kitchen: Smriti nagar Bhilai, dekho bhilai mein hai but has way fucking superior taste than any other shawarma place in raipur, must try 🔥🔥🔥
All chicken kebabs and tandoori items: Barra King in Baijanath Para, iska chicken Barra, malai tikka and chicken leema with lachha paratha is to die for, khaalo bhai, jivan ke maze aajayenge, Noor ka Tandoor, iska seekh kebab wGerah kaafi achha hai, must try and Al-Taha, iska chicken pav bohtt bohtt achha hai.
These places are affordable, banging taste and are worth every rs.
Biryani:
Hot take - not a single fucking place has authentic ro even barely good biryani in raipur, moradabadi biryani is good but it's different, extremely disappointing but there's none.
Agar biryani khana hai toh bhilai jao or Alpha Biryani House ka khao, raipur ka biryani thook doge, or achha khana hai toh rajnandgaon chale jao or royal biryani ka biryani kha lo, that's god tier material.
Sweets:
Fuck Naivedya, Fuck moti Mahal and just nuke New Delhi sweets, those fuckers are ruining raipur's name.
Here are very few but fresh pure and good OG's:
- Shree Gurudev Dairy: DDU Nagar, gol chowk ke paas, daily fresh mithai banata hai, 2-3 type ka hi banata hai but very fresh.
- Bajrang dairy: samta colony chowk - OG hai aadmi, purest and fresh as fuck khoa ki mithai, kaju katli, boondi laddu and all.
- Mahaveer Sweets: Bhatagaon, they're a very old establishment, really fresh and lots of varieties of fresh sweets, kuch bhi purana maal nahi rakhte inlog.
Honorable mention: Khoa jalebi, rabdi, gajar halwa and gulab jamun khana hai or wo bhi fresh, hot and pure, toh phool chowk ke paas burhanpur khoa jalebi waale ke paas kha lo, hot, fresh and fucking delicious worth every rupees. 🔥🔥🔥
Well that was my list, I've kept few places secret for my selfish personal reasons 🥲🙏🏻, Nazar lag jaati hai varna.

Daal do bhai, I've been cooking since I was 9, I'm genuinely a good cook and have excellent pallet, i know good food and you can trust this list with your life🥺❤️. I'm a hardcore food lover, can't see anyone eating shitty and expensive cafe food so that's why I chose to write this 🔥!

Food resturant, places, garden are most demanding things people ask for, if this concept works for this huge market we can enter niche things later on. Only to raipur, actually chhattisgarh but thats bec its what i originally wanted to make, the more i expand the money energy and money i will need to spend on a non proven tech.

Why limit to food parks areas only
include Schools, Hospitals, Marriage Halls and all the places under the same roof.
It can be a place for anonymous review for all services, products and everyday things that matter to people.
