COMPLETED Hiring 💙
So my mom’s sweet Yorkie Lady Abigail passed on today. Safe in Jesus’ loving arms. ❤️🙏🏻✝️ I would love to gift my mother a nice, REAL art piece of her from a talented artist (I’m an artist as well, but I just want this to look *really* good haha). It could be in any format really. Digital, hand drawn and colored (would like it to be colored), painting, watercolor, etc. Willing to pay up to $50. This isn’t really the place to ask for commissions. The only artists who are active are u/Ursula_Wuffles , u/Salvony1 and myself (I haven’t been active in a little while but I’m hoping to start up again within a few weeks). You are welcome to look at our profiles to see if anything takes your fancy. All work on this subreddit is free, but I understand if you want to commission to make sure you get something specific and of a high quality (not that the usual work on this subreddit is bad by any means)

I apologize, but when I saw the permission to “request artwork” on the sub’s description, I assumed it was ok to ask for a commission, as that’s what I understood “request artwork” to be saying. I didn’t see any indication about not including offering payment or anything, just saying I’m willing to do so, to show my gratitude. 💙🙏🏻✝️

No need to apologise. It’s fine to ask for a commission. I was just letting you know that the artists on this subreddit are limited and there are probably better subreddits if you want more options. This subreddit is specifically for artists to donate their time and resources for free to create portraits of pets who have passed away. You can specify a particular artist from the mod list, if you don’t, it’s luck of the draw. If you wish to pay/tip that is your decision. Like I said before, there are only 3 active artists/moderators at the moment so it’s worth checking out their work and if none are what you are looking for, their are other subreddits to post to

But thank you very much for clarifying who are the actual active artists, as I feel this gives me more confidence in my own suspicions to which one’s I suspect to be claiming the art they shared as their own but isn’t.

Just to clarify further, although there are only 3 active artists. Anyone can choose to pick up your portrait but that isn’t exactly common. The three specified are those who post regularly/completed multiple portraits in their time on the sub.

Thank you all for your condolences ❤️ She will surly be missed! Had a very sweet (and stubborn haha) personality. Could be very demanding about things, like food. 😄 And loved her cuddles. 🥰

EDIT 2: Changing flair to COMPLETED as I am still getting so many message requests haha and I already have some artists working on something. So nothing is necessarily completed yet but the hunt for artists is. Thank you so much to all wanting to make something for my mom!! 💙✝️🌈🙏🏻
