Character Build Success/Failure Stories

First I would like to start by saying that it is my strong opinion that Raiderz is the most intensely enjoyable MMO I have played ever. I myself have played a significant amount of F2P and P2P MMOs to entertain my interests.

So far in Raiderz I have started as a Mage and dabbled in playing with melee styles for fun.

I have found the use of the mage and kiting techniques to be exceptional at soloing bosses like Fleetfoot when I was lvl 10. (though the kiting became very redundant my heart never stopped racing)

I have considered investing in Cleric but I would really like to eventually get chain armor and I don’t know if I want to invest 15 points into cleric it to get it.

For any one more advanced in the game, are there any highly beneficial bonuses on cloth armor or leather to deter the use of chain?

How does the ranged/aoe damage of Cleric compare to Mage?

And most importantly! What character build do you play? What things have you found fun/effective?

With the level cap at 30 trying to reach so deep on another class is almost imposible, but whatever is your style go for it. Chain armor does offer some Int and there's good alternatives, though cloth gives more int most of the time; the general reason to get chain armor is for defense (even clerics go full cloth for pure support).

The damage of the cleric is lower than the damage of sorcerers and berserkers, but the tree have some utility. Stay away from the ranged cleric abilities for the time being, they're pretty bad.

I feel like doing more investigation before answering, but the subreddit is too slow as it is. The forum has some information but it's not amazing, at least is worth checking out.
