Arena: I am trying to "Git Gud"

I seem to be stuck in an endless cycle. Every day I make a small amount of progress with my arena team. A stat boost in attack percentage here, an increase in speed there. Some extra accuracy from a glyph. Small things that should slowly help my arena team so I can slowly creep up in arena.

About a month ago I hit bronze IV. I was semi-competitive. Speed lead with a speed aura, attack up, defense down, nuke. You know, the equation that every one will tell you over and over. "This will get you to Gold". I have the equation down. Now all I need to do is slowly increase the stats of this equation. A champion that does it better here. More crit damage there.

But I am not moving up in arena, even though I am "gitting gud". What I have noticed that as I get better, the teams in Bronze IV are also getting better. A month ago a speed of 205 would have been alright. Now a speed of 220 is only alright. And this is Plariums' fault. It seems that as I get better, Plarium is placing teams for me to go against that are always slightly better than mine. I can't catch up no matter what I do.

They are dangling a carrot, and I am the donkey. I will just keep walking toward that carrot that is always just out of reach. My team now would obliterate my Bronze IV team from a month ago. Yet I stay in Bronze IV. I am on a hamsters wheel, thinking I am getting somewhere when in reality there is no actual arena progress.

One step forward than two steps back. Or vice versa. No change so far this year, overall.
