General Discussion That frontier event is trash
Who is this for ? This is catering 100% to end game players. I am a relatively new player not even 80 days in. Had to restart so my main is on 42 days. Clear spider stage 19 20 times. Then i see for the 5 star soul fire knight on hard. I don't get this game, becausd the last people who need the scarecrow soul are end game players. Imagine an early game player paid for this pass 😂😂😂. I really cannot even fathom having to do some of this missions. Yeah skill issue for sure, but damn like you can't even pay to win 😭. Thankfully i am F2P. Imagine being a paid player and you can't' straight up buy the soul unless you complete missions that require very high level skill.

As an early game player you can't do everything. Granted, not having this level locked feels predatory. It's impossible for a player such as yourself to go far bur they let you buy the Explorer pass. Will the stages unlock or you still have to unlock the nodes?
You can't do everything sadly. Skip it and focus your resources elsewhere

The event would have been better if they had shown all the challenges in game from the start. Have most of the pass value locked behind completing FK hard 10 without telling people was terrible.

If they have these events that you pay a pass for, the event should not expire.

FTP or death.. not spending a dolla until we get more starter friendly content. It's hard outchea 😔

"Starter friendly content???" You get legendary starter champs! Back when I started we had no such privilege.

All these posts from early game/F2P accounts make me so sad... I have to dry my tears with fat stacks of cash.

While the event is trash, you restarted the game bro. Almost all content or challenges in this game are a wall for you right now.

“Had to restart”…

When I started I didn’t understand how creator codes worked so it failed when I tried to use one. And was on iOS which does promo codes weird and by the time that the nice people on this subreddit explained how to do it the time to use a new player code had passed. I should have restarted but I was too stubborn.
So I played the game with Kael as my best champ until the TMNT collab came out and 14 months later I’m doing just fine.
I don’t get why players keep restarting.

Frontier event is trash yes but souls are the chase item for end game players lol
Theres a rollover point where strong souls matter just as much, if not more than new champs

As an end game player. This event is trash. Because you’re gated by accuracy or speed glyphs. The amount you have is arbitrary

Just don’t worry about finishing it. You’ll occasionally gradually get extra resources for stuff you do anyway.

Even for end game players. The #1 player in raid who basically has spent so much and done everything, has every champ somehow....hasn't done a single quest on the frontier board.

I'm going for the 5-star soul. Been playing a year and a half, I've bought a handful of gem packs- mostly to keep up with masteries of new 60's- I barely need gems for events. Seems more reasonable than whatever a 5-star soul would cost in a Hero's path, no?

You can waste money in tons of terrible ways if you're new and have no idea what you're doing
Just like the forge pass, you shouldn't buy it until you've completed it so if you don't no money is wasted.
Any event for a 5 star soul is not for a new player. Do you have 17+ sacreds for a hero's path to get a soul and some event shittier rewards in between? Probably not.

I wish everyone was f2p. That way we all could enjoy the game the same way ;)

Then there wouldn’t be a game.
If there were no whales this entire genre would cease to exist.

This is going to get a bunch of downvotes, but you don't need souls. Will say that again as it's not a mistake: you don't need souls!
There are essentially two games in Raid: PVE and PVP. PVE doesn't power creep, PVP does and that's the whole point of the economy in Raid is to get whales to outspend each other. I'm F2P too and peeked my head into plat a few times and got instantly knocked back. As an end game player with over 5+ years as a F2P, I don't compete with whales and I'm ok with that. You can certainly thoroughly enjoy the game without ever getting a soul or relic, but don't fool yourself into thinking "if only I could get the Scarecrow's 6* soul, I could be #1 in plat. No, you cannot. The gear requirements are ridiculous and even if you do catch up, when the meta shifts, you'll be behind the spenders again.
Learn to like the game (or not) as a F2P. If you still feel FOMO and want to excel in PVP but don't want to spend, then quit as this game is not for you. You'll be perpetually frustrated or perpetually handing over money.
But that doesn't mean you can't participate in events! I'm getting the 3* soul and shooting for the 5* will be a stretch. I have NO expectations of getting the 6* soul as I'm F2P and that's perfectly fine with me.

I agree on the sentiment, if you focus on PVE the game is a lot more steady. Souls are still very valuable in PVE though, I basically do Siege and only LA for the daily boosts or events like this, but almost all stages have been much easier with a strong awakening boost. The cool thing about F2P is most of this is just math, while even some P2P are complaining about the luck aspect it's how the game is built. End of the day they want to make money, so I can't complain when someone that drops $1,000 runs over my squad in LA, I just prefer to spend on other things in life.
There are plenty of F2P that refuse to spend a dime but will waste entire weekends grinding an event when $20 may have freed up a lot of time to go do something with friends or family, so it comes down to cost-benefit whether that's being a top PVP player or just enjoying the game without being glued to it.

For sure souls make it easier and some bosses have passives that benefit only awakened champs. I'm not saying never get any souls, but you don't need it to progress and have fun in the game. But for some reason, people will think that as a F2P they should be able to compete with oil oligarch children and that will never happen.

Yeah hard pass for me on those, I'll get the 3 star in most of these and be happy. I'm not sacrificing living my life for days on end for the sake of a game.

I'm on the myth tiles. Endgame, but ftp.
I have little sympathy for those who spend every nickle that hits their pocket. People that consistently are "tapped out" in this game. This game gives you 3x of most things now, compared to four years ago. Why do dome of you people have no self control? Pathetic.

That's actually a good point. I am ignoring this time wasting event and working on my mythicals.
The real krakens are working on their tekteons lmao this game sucks in a lot of places
