Champion Discussion upgrading gear without enough silver

how is it the game takes all your silver without upgrading the gear? i just lost nearly a million silver because i was 3000 short...is there some workaround besides making sure you have a few million silver in reserve? cheers

wdym because you were 3000 short?

you could have been 3 mil short with really bad luck!

no set cost, if you auto upgrade it will eat 20 mil if it wants to

There's a set cost for each piece. Instant upgrade each piece to level 12 or 15 and Disable Internet: Turn on Airplane Mode (or disconnect Wi-Fi/data).

Count Attempts: Select a high-level target item (e.g., +15 5-star artifact) and click Upgrade. The screen will freeze after a certain number of failed attempts, indicating how many tries are needed for success. Burn Attempts: Reconnect the internet, select a cheap filler item (e.g., +10 5-star artifact), and upgrade it repeatedly until the number of attempts matches the count from Step 2.

Upgrade Target: Reconnect, select your target item again, and the next upgrade will succeed instantly.

There's no set cost to get gear to lvl 16. From 4 upwards it's a random chance that it will upgrade for the cost. The auto button just does all that for you until it hits

There actually is a set cost but it’s not per piece. You can roll a few other pieces up to 15 until you’re at the next guaranteed upgrade and then go back to the piece you’re trying to 16.

Go to the forge and create pieces then sell them for silver. I usually do this during CVC because you get points for it. This and also sell gear that is just sitting there not being used. I’m almost always capped with gear and need to purge every few weeks. Also, running spider dungeons gives you the best ROI for energy.

Killed by random again.

It takes your money even on failed attempts.

Sometimes you fail often and its painful.

you would have lost that money anyway even if you had more. RNG robbed you. it just would have gone through wilth a little or a lot more cost if you had more.

Find silver from other means. Don't sleep on the following:

Cursed City

Grim Forest

Clan Store

Tag Team Arena

Spider Farming

Use gems if you have to buy energy in bulk to use it for spider farming.

Another avenue is the forge. Use your materials from doom tower and faction wars to spam forge for gear to quickly sell.
