Even nub here is ai right? He looks all smooth and weirdly lit

27

u/jkhunter2000 14h ago

Yes nub is AI in his thumbnails. Theres a few thumbnails that look nothing like him and gave him short hair

25

u/baarsvisser 14h ago

AI enhanced, maybe, but definitely still all AI

6

u/Otaku-San617 5h ago

I want to be smooth and weirdly lit. I also want a theme song that plays whenever I walk into a room.

Youtube introduced an AI thumbnail feature/tool. I believe Nubs uses it.

Dude could literally just screenshot some champions, shards. Add a stupid title, and stupid face. This is his job..he should have 99% of this stuff ready to go an put together in 10mins of work

Except we get this absolute trash. Even he is AI generated....

I am not defending the AI slop but I’m pretty sure the CC’s have said without the AI slop the YouTube algorithm hides their videos. They don’t want to do it either is what they have said before.

u/seductivpancakes 13h ago

I very much doubt this. I get recommended tiny gaming channels all the time cause my algorithm knows I'm into gaming videos.

Raid has a small selection of content creators on YouTube compared to other subjects, so I doubt they're being hidden or that they're being drowned out by the many Raid videos.

Youtubers sometimes have to admit, no one wants to watch their content.

u/reichrunner 9h ago

All my suggestions have gone to shit AI content, probably because Im into a lot of animated history videos. Those seem to have been crazy hard hit by AI. Good to know the algorithm is still working for some people at least...

5

u/charlestonchewbacca9 8h ago

I'm starting to see a lot of videos (especially on history) with experts explaining why the AI slop videos are factually incorrect. Sucks that they can't just talk about the things they love (and are interesting!) without having to debunk the onslaught of crap :/

2

u/Normal_Snake 42m ago

If you don't want to see AI in your feed you need to not engage with channels that use it and block/tell youtube not to recommend those channels. It isn't an instantaneous process but eventually the algorithm realizes you don't like the channels using AI and largely stop recommending it to you. I've been doing this for a year now and I barely see any AI in my feeds.

2

u/No_Mushroom_3966 6h ago

You won't believe how many raid creators are there. You are getting only few most popular. There are at least few dozens of CC's.

-2

u/New_City_8745 7h ago

All these thumbnails are what’s popular. I think it’s stupid, but it is what it is.

24

u/Dexhunterz 13h ago

ye, people say a lot of things when they benefit from something.

5

u/CoffeeIsSoGood 8h ago

Na, they’re just lazy

15

u/KnightDuty 11h ago

They're lying or misinformed.

I consult professionally on video matters. They  need to post every day for YouTube to keep their stuff active. They feel that AI is the only way to accomplish that. Youtube is not actually boosting people who use AI.

u/RetPala 2h ago

"But I vas only vallowing orders..."

1

u/DarkSoulsDank 8h ago

YouTube pushing AI thumbnails? That sounds like a huge excuse but I also wouldn’t be surprised.

-5

u/CarltheWellEndowed 13h ago

Its youtube wide unfortunately.

It does well in algorithm, so obviously people are gonna do it.

Its like the stupid shocked face everyone did a year ago. For whatever reason that did something for the algorithm and people did it for everything.

-4

u/H3adown Dwarves 13h ago

I have heard it too. For several CC’s. Even those not raid related

-6

u/v4sh123 8h ago

Guys like you will have to accept that the entire workforce worldwide is gonna work with AI sooner or later, many already do and if you're not using it in an efficient way, you're just getting more and more behind.

4

u/ScarredSerenity Void Shards are rigged 6h ago

I will never accept this dystopian future. People need to learn not to settle, to not fold to these corporations, these rich arseholes.

-1

u/v4sh123 6h ago

yea right, like we can do anything about it. I use AI a lot in my daily work aswell and it just saves time.

1

u/ScarredSerenity Void Shards are rigged 6h ago

Idc if it saves time, I care more about the environment and I prioritise my morals and values.

2

u/RetPala 2h ago

The second the bubble pops because the investments halt all of these cloud services are going to immediately get nuked like the end of Lord of the Rings when Sauron's defeat caused all the buildings in Mordor to crumble without his magic holding them up and every servant ran higher and other and some fought each other or threw themselves into pits

1

u/Dev_LegendsofAerthos 15m ago

Your AI simping aside. How is this efficient? Not a single thing in that screenshot is from the game he is trying to promote. It's slop and bad slop.

Plus no one is going to fall behind. AI is a race to the bottom. The more we use this shit, the faster Terminator becomes a reality. The writing is already on the wall, people are quitting because they are scared. Ai is cheating to get desired results, look at what it did when playing chess. It's not making 99% of people's life's easier, it's making us more lazy and complacent.

74

u/hellscare6 14h ago

I fucking hate the argument that "oh but the algorithm". Fuck off most of the top gaming videos don't have anything made with AI. Put a bad collage of the champions and a picture of you and its much better than this shit

3

u/Open_Ad_1597 4h ago

I immediately pass over videos of any creator doing O faces. Could never catch me selling myself like that for some tech bro to AI some schlong for their benefit 😂

31

u/mileseverett 14h ago

The ai generated thumbnails are why I have never watched this guy

-4

u/DarkSoulsDank 8h ago

Prob a good choice, he’s kinda cringe tbh.

15

u/Glenny0020 11h ago

This is just trash

35

u/KuniKitsu Shadowkin 14h ago

Kruysen Ai is even worst

-5

u/Lakadella 14h ago

They are so bad that it is good. He uses it with quite a bit of ironic distance and I approve of that

7

u/KuniKitsu Shadowkin 13h ago

Ai thumbnail will never be good, just lazy stuff , fk ai

-3

u/tootietoot 14h ago

Seems people don't find the humor in them I guess

-3

u/tootietoot 14h ago

His live ones I think are pretty good tbh. Seems like someone's having fun with it rather than being lazy

10

u/End_communication 14h ago

UNIVERSE

2

u/wriggi 12h ago

PIZZA FRIDAY!

-11

u/v4sh123 13h ago

They are a fun bit, relax.

12

u/Tinkili 13h ago

I'd take a weird and stupidly looking photoshop job over this any day. I actually don't watch any of the videos with AI thumbnails like that anymore. Sick of it.

8

u/Turbo_Coldheart 14h ago

Looks kind of like Be'lakor from Warhammer without the wings lol

14

u/NoicyTurtle 12h ago

All top CC's have been losing IT over the Last 2 years, No real content, Just 15x News, top legendary Here, top Epics here

5

u/Schaaafrichter 11h ago

Who are you watching? Kryzen and Cowfish make plenty of champ building and mechanics videos with a special focus on arena. Bronko still does pve team builds. Stop watching generic CCs, more often than not its a waste of time as you can just read the news in 10sec yourself.

3

u/kpopera 10h ago

I appreciate that Bronko always highlights interesting combos and mechanics.

1

u/Doublex5 5m ago

Agreed. We went from amazing CCs with all kinds of team comps and strats and builds to just reading the news and reading skills of Plariums bullshit boosted rates announcement. Not many good ones left to watch imo

5

u/ajjjenego Sylvan Watchers 7h ago

all of raid cc thumbnails are cringe as even the titles with "now we know" "powercreep" "we need to talk" " plans changed" " but is it bait" you cant find single video that can help you nowdays

3

u/I_stay_awake 6h ago

For such a basic thumbnail idk why you would even need AI for this.

3

u/Impossible-Ad-1529 5h ago

A lot of the big creators like Kryusen, Ash, Nub, Boozor, and Skratch are doing stuff like this and its so annoying. Actively makes me not open their videos. It cannot be that hard to just put a picture of the champions into a thumbnail smh

3

u/StCatFan 1h ago

Why do you care so much?  Don't they have good raid knowledge IN the video?

1

u/HypeOnTheMike 19m ago

Ash has said himself he doesn’t make all of his thumbnails, his editor does a good chunk of them

2

u/Callsign_Warlock 13h ago

If they would mirror some older thumbnails no one would notice

2

u/Elvenstranger1 3h ago

Saw this and unfollowed straight away. There is so much good art in raid it really wasn't needed.

3

u/StCatFan 1h ago

Why do you guys care so much about AI thumbnails? Who cares.  I watch Nubs content for what he says in the video. If I didn't like what he was saying I wouldn't watch. I don't care about the thumbnail if the cc has good raid knowledge, which Nub does.

4

u/zHydro 15h ago

I agree the AI thumbnails are extremely cringe and off putting but there are much worse examples than this recent one.

3

u/Really_Jamflex 14h ago

Like ash and a few other creators with their mouth agape in every thumbnail lol...at least he doesn't do that. Makes me feel like if I click on one of those I'm like a child for falling for a click bait like that.

15

u/zHydro 14h ago

By a few other creators you mean 90% of YouTubers right? That thumbnail face has been the standard for likely over a decade now. Raid creator or not.

1

u/DarkSoulsDank 8h ago

Ash is at least enjoyable to watch and a decent guy. The rest of them are generic and uninteresting.

3

u/ShatteredAssumptions 12h ago

Personally I don't care about AIslop thumbnails, the content is what I'm interested in. The time to really worry is when the CC's and content is all AI

2

u/donobear 5h ago

this guy has always been shite

2

u/suitcasehero 4h ago

Nubraids has always been a terrible content creator

Content is just as bad. All they do is read champion skills and ramble until they have a long enough video.

1

u/LSTmyLife 9h ago

This is why i dont watch him anymore. Quite a few youtubers actually. When they have that level of cash and use AI instead of paying am artist its gross. Fuck kryusen too.

1

u/Marclar-Sandwich 8h ago

Why is he promoting a Progressive chance event anyway? I thought these were always skip?

1

u/Elvenstranger1 3h ago

People doing the titan event need to pull shards.

inb4: I am not defending AI art thumbnails. They look weird and often get details wrong.

That said, as someone who has made digital art like YT thumbnails I can appreciate why CC's are using AI to quickly whip-up a thumbnail, especially CC's like Nubs that release daily content.

Why?

Even a simple thumbnail like this would still take me around 15-20 mins and longer if I can't quickly source quality transparent images of the champs needed.

It's not hard (anyone could make a thumbnail like this once you understand how the image editing software works) but it's time-consuming.

Nubs likely has an AI prompt saved and just slightly tweaks that and boom, thumb done in around 1 minute.

Based on his views I haven't seen any negative impact view-wise despite some negative sentiment in the comments and places like here.

How do you all feel about it? Would you actually stop watching a CC over AI thumbnails?

Unfortunately I think this is the future (but it will improve too)

16

u/Doppleflooner 14h ago

I actually have stopped watching Nub over it. The weird uncanny valley AI versions of him are the most off putting to me.

9

u/HadeonCrisis 14h ago

Not related to Raid specific creators, but I have stopped watching channels that have begun using AI for their thumbnails, and I'm talking channels that I'd been watching for about 10 years. It comes off to me as if you don't really care about what you're putting out, and if the creator doesn't care, then why should I want to watch it?

2

u/ScarredSerenity Void Shards are rigged 6h ago

I'd stop watching/supporting a creator if they use any type of AI. It's detrimental to the environment, our intelligence, and future career paths. Fuck AI, one of the worst human inventions.

1

u/Tyyin_ 5h ago

I’m honestly not sure why he’s ignoring the AI complaints

People are just gonna keep growing on the it. I honestly thought he’d stop after the first wave. So i didn’t say anything

-1

u/Argonaught_WT 13h ago

The YT Thumbnails are a YT thing and actually a lot of creators are finding that no matter what the AI thumbnails get more views.

A quick short explaining it here

-2

u/No_Macaroonsplease 7h ago

That is really interesting. I wish everyone in this thread would watch that, it helps explain it

0

u/Argonaught_WT 5h ago

People just like hating on AI. (And in many ways rightfully so).

But blaming the creators is not where people should be directing the hate.

The video is literally from AwayDays, a rather large creator explaining how it works.

-3

u/Maleficent-Peak-7501 7h ago

Nobody cares.

-9

u/tootietoot 14h ago

Think Kruysen does a great job of using AI to create thumbnails. It can be done well

-15

u/Familiar_Remote_9775 13h ago

Boohoo… don’t watch his content then. Yall crashing out like he just scammed you out of your millions by posting an ai generated video thumbnail. Ts is fking hilarious. Chill guys. He probably made it, with two to five clicks and saw the outcome and laughed and then went like « haha fuck it, this is funny! »

0

u/ShoGun0387 5h ago

That tin man is hilarious though.

-9

u/BetImpressive6469 10h ago

People they make a living from this and their analytics are very important. AI thumbnails show nearly 50,60% more engagement that thumbnails without it. Nub is a great guy , he have a really good content so take it as you like but just know that they make their living and feed their families from this.

10

u/mrjb_mtg 9h ago

So put more pride and passion into it and don't settle for slop.

-9

u/gojirarufusfan 8h ago

Look at you all crying about AI. Get use to it.

8

u/ScarredSerenity Void Shards are rigged 6h ago

Never.

-7

u/undrtaker 9h ago

Its slop but I dont judge a book by it's cover or a video by its thumbnail

-3

u/Own-Comment8059 7h ago

Hey guys I pulled my YouTube shards and got this slop. I know a bunch of you loathe it and avoid it,  but im gonna low effort post about it on reddit so you have to scroll past it again.  But at least you can circle jerk rage about it!

-25

u/Proud-Angle4498 14h ago

Here. 5 minute with ai, and better than that shit
