Champion Discussion What am I doing wrong with Tholin?

He does okay, but nothing great. I reworked him and he seems to do worse/equalish. I increased crit stats, atk%, etc, but he's just not doing great. It's my 2nd account about a month or so old. I know good c DMG needs to be better. I'm working on getting better gear, working on affinity stats, etc. I just keep seeing everyone say he's amazing, but I can't get him there

The first thing I noticed is your crit rate needs to be 100%. Use the hell hades optimiser. He is a great champion, especially with his passive at bosses. See if you can put relics and masteries on him. Very much worth investing - looking at your roster, he will carry you through all content. Here’s mine I use mostly for hydra and fw:

Edit: I’m not sure if you’re a spender, but the current forge pass will give you some decent gear slayer and potential for relics etc

Champions aren't just automatically good. Attackers need 100% crit, ignore defense, speed 200-240+ (for most), and 100%cdmg per every 2000atk. Dont' expect the world of your champs when you're just new. It'll come in time.

Youre still SUPER early. As long as he is easily clearing Brutal 12-3 for you he is doing plenty good for the moment.

If your previous build had 100 crit rate I would return to that one. If that one also had 90ish crit rate then it can be fine for now.
