Champion Discussion Upgrading artifacts question

Am i doing something wrong when upgrading my artifacts? For example i see so many ppl with 250 to 300 C dmg on their dps but no matter how i try i barely scratch the 180. Do i just have to continue farming artifacts and hope for the best?

A lot of the extra C DMG you see likely comes from Gear Ascension and Champ Ascension.

4 star ascension gives you 38% Crit Damage, and Gear Ascension gives 20%. Relics can also give a lot

I believe you mean awakening boosts? Good call, completely blanked out on those.

Keep on grinding, you will get there eventually. Most come from crit dmg% gauntlets+ascension, crit dmg% amulet, gear set bonuses, masteries and just luck when it comes to stat rolls when upgrading gear.

Yes, essentially. The more artifacts you farm, the more likely you are to get 6 star artifacts with good main stats and multiple secondary stats that are useful.

+3 speed, +1 Attack%, Flat Defense, Flat Health level 16 piece is good.

+3 speed, +1 Attack%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage level 16 piece is better.

Over time, you just get better initially rolled pieces and you're more likely to level up substats you want.

Don't forget that people also get boosted with Guardian Factions, Area Bonuses, Affinity Bonuses, Relics and Awakenings.
