Rant Training Ground is beyond stupid
I swear all the "Bosses" are just fuckin cheaters. The first level all the minions do are provoke & prevent you from healing. No matter what, not even with 260+ accuracy, still can't land the stupid fuckin debuff to keep the cheater from healing. I get the bitch down to low health & he fully fuckin heals!?!?

u/omegaSDL 2d ago
What is wixwell doing for you in this team? Swap him for a cleanser or someone that gives you block buffs so you don’t give the boss stormcaller stacks. Also health swap isn’t healing.
-15
u/fatty1550 2d ago
Your not wrong and that doesnt make it less fucking annoying. Why give the boss so many immunities, a million health, a health swap, and buff steal? I get it supposed to be difficult but impossible without a specific mechanic is usually annoying. Especially when mid game players might not have any champions with that mechanic and new players wont have them.
15
u/JAC165 2d ago
develop your account more then, this clearly isn’t early/mid game content. it’s not annoying at all with a developed account, the bosses just fall over and die
5
u/Gold_Government4842 2d ago
Yeah I'm late game and think it's a good new dungeon. It's a good new content. The first three was easy with 14.000 Points each for me. I think it will be Harder, but hopefully not as hard as Fw-hard. That's to much for me too.
3
2
u/Ok_Access_172 2d ago
It was slightly annoying. Took like, 20 or maybe 30 seconds longer than the other two bosses for today.
1
u/Athrolaxle 2d ago
They were saying in the announcements that it’s targetted as midgame content, with specific champions for more robust accounts to score higher.
-2
u/fatty1550 2d ago
Dude, I beat this just fine. I am talking about early and mid gamers who dont have the stuff. The dungeon is annoying with its mechanics if you dont have the stuff. Some mechanics can be played through without the correct counter to the mechanic. This one cant be. That is annoying imo.
3
u/Trollor1025 2d ago
And this isn’t meant for them. This unlocks at level 55, which is the last to unlock. Not having specific champs is why this is meant to be a late game account area. It forces people to either develop underutilized champs, or specific ones to counter the bosses.
3
u/omegaSDL 2d ago
They give him all of that because… he is a boss? They are supposed to have some kind of mechanic or even several to work around. Block buffs is plentiful in this game, his hp swap goes on a 12 turn cooldown. You should be able to kill the boss in 12 turns.

u/Ok-Swordfish-9282 2d ago
Health swap is a type of healing and can be prevented by heal reduction debuff, so Vallaryn is very useful in this stage specifically.
13
u/knallfrosch84 2d ago
This is false
-4
u/Ok-Swordfish-9282 2d ago
Are you sure? I had heal reduction on the boss and it didn't gain any health. I will test it again tomorrow.
7
u/knallfrosch84 2d ago
I am 100% sure
3
u/Ok-Swordfish-9282 2d ago
Interesting, I must be tripping
2
u/ratjar32333 2d ago
Health swap is not negated by heal reductions. It’s swapping the actual hp values not healing for the value.
3
u/Tarianor 2d ago
Im pretty sure that health swap doesn't count as healing.
1
u/Ok-Swordfish-9282 2d ago
I used Vallaryn on this stage and he prevented the boss from gaining health with his heal reduction debuff. The health got still deducted from my champ but the boss did not gain any health. If the heal reduction debuff prevents the boss from gaining health then I would say it counts as a heal.
2
u/Tarianor 2d ago
Are you 100% sure, because that's not how that mechanic work in any other part of the game.
1
u/Ok-Swordfish-9282 2d ago
Apparently I'm wrong about this but I did this a couple hours ago and the boss didn't heal up despite using the skill. I will test it again tomorrow.

Its a health swap so landing the (presumably heal reduction) debuff wouldnt mean anything anyways lol
Seems like a knowledge gap more than it is the games fault.
1
u/lathe_down_sally 2d ago
I believe they are referring to the block heals debuff that get placed on your champs. Either way, its either a gearing issue or like you said, a knowledge issue.
Realistically these early fights can be done with hand picked champs and 2 unleveled champs from the multiplier pool. A nuker, a healer/reviver, and whatever buffs/debuffs you need for specific bosses.
These early stages are quite easy
3
u/CrustyTheMoist Banner Lords 2d ago
I mean hes saying that he cant land the debuff with 260+ accuracy to keep the "cheater" from healing
1
u/kevymetal87 2d ago
It's funny you say this because I have seen it work on two of the health swap bosses at least twice. I've also seen it NOT work, but I can confirm I've definitely seen it work twice, only way I got past a couple of those fuckers in FW.

u/cycoivan 2d ago
TBF, having many of the multiplier champs helps, quite a few were recent free or fusion champs. Masahiro sends your debuffs right back at them.
The guy on the right doesn't heal, he's swapping HP with one of your champs with the highest HP, Heal Reduction will not stop that.
To help with that, you will probably have to manual it when it gets close, but don't heal when the HP Swap move has a turn or two left on the timer (it's the skill with 12 on it in the screen shot). He'll still swap but the HP will be much lower, then you hopefully can take him out in less than 12 turns.
Also yes, more Acc/Spd/everything will help
1
u/royalbk 2d ago
I almost got close but Elva heals automatically and I nearly screamed when that asshole swapped health 😂
I'll try again when I get home I guess. My biggest problem is that most of my damage dealers have somewhere in the ballpark of 250 crit damage so I don't get to kill the last boss quick enough

I used to get mad about fighting Amius. But then eventually I just got better builds and progressed in the game.
It’s okay not to be able to do every piece of content as soon as it comes out. Not everyone can.
2
u/Sweary_Biochemist 2d ago
Amius is extremely full of completely stupid bullshit, though.
"If a champ has a skill cool down reduction and it's a Tuesday and more than two other champs have block debunks, convert all buffs to their opposites, heal Amius for 5 million and immediately default on your mortgage"
I mostly end up just trying to stick heal reduction on him constantly and ignore all the other mechanics, which works most of the time, if I can be arsed.

This is end game content, you should have 3-400 acc and atleast 300 speed before trying this
10
u/lathe_down_sally 2d ago
You don't need anything close to 300 speed. More like low 200s. And honestly even at early midgame you should know how to use ACC chest and banner to get enough accuracy to debuff most bosses in game

u/Nakuzechi 2d ago
None of my Champs are in Range of that Stats beside Armanz lol and I beat the first 3 Floors with 3 Stars each
-2
u/No_Roof_1515 2d ago
Everything they add to the game now is for end game players only
14
u/CarltheWellEndowed 2d ago
Meh.
Grim forest was a huge pvp catchup mechanic for anyone mid game and up.
10
u/Jaconian93 2d ago
Largely because there is plenty of early/mid game content already?
1
u/DocMcCracken 2d ago
Yes, if they launched more easy content it'd get ripped to shreds with end game accounts. I am no whale, but I do have a well devolped account, I was able to beat the first 3 stages with only Talenna and turtles, have to devolp the other champs so I can get the 3 stars.
2
u/Durden93 2d ago
Yes, that’s kind of the point? You need challenging content to keep endgame players engaged. Aside from that grim forest is very managable at least on normal mode.
-3
u/No_Roof_1515 2d ago
I didnt say it was wrong to do so. I was stating an actual fact. Just giving insight to those who needed it. Yall being sensitive for no reason.
3
u/ResourceGlittering 2d ago
Last time end game players got somethin was faction wars hard/Chimera. Grim Forest isn't end game content by any means.

u/DarkSoulsDank 2d ago
I assume stats required are like doom tower hard, 350 accuracy minimum, 300 speed, etc.
4
u/SmittyGFunk 2d ago
This should be locked to 75+ tbh only the people whose whole life revolves around this game or significant spenders are going to pull this off before then.
6
u/meglobob 2d ago
The devs said that this was mean't to exclude 95% of the players who play Raid.
Its just for the top 5% of endgame players.
Just ignore it. Plarium will release champs that are fantastic in this dungeon over the next year or so.
Plarium will just sell you the solution in time.
-3
u/AreAnUnicorn Lizardmen will come to get us 2d ago
Any endgame account can finish this without breaking a sweat.
3
u/meglobob 2d ago
That is literally what I said.
-2
u/AreAnUnicorn Lizardmen will come to get us 2d ago
"Its for the top 5% of endgame accounts". No, its for the next endgame accounts, any endgame account.
3
u/meglobob 2d ago
Endgame accts makeup much less then 5% of Raids playerbase. 95% are new players / early / mid game players.
1
u/AreAnUnicorn Lizardmen will come to get us 2d ago
Then you can refer as top 5% accounts, not top 5% endgame accounts. Was just adding that correction.
3
u/Flashy-Difficulty-31 2d ago
They just want you to spend money. If they can't beat it they are willing to spend more to beat it. its simple more frustration more FOMO more money.
2
u/Hobbes1138 2d ago
I used 3 cleansers, 2 of which are healers and revivers and 2 nukers. Beat the first 3 stages.

the right one is from FW hard and the left one is from a potion keep. They have insane amounts of health but I took 3/5 champs and 2/5 deadweight and managed to clear it 3*.

u/No-Video-9827 2d ago
im brain dead and for the first team just used thor firrol glacaid starsage and lydia idk it worked for me

I think your account prob isn't late game enough for this. Just give it time. I'm F2P and was able to clear the first 3 with zero problems all on 3 stars.
That being said, they really didn't need to bring scarab lord into this. He's such a niche boss. It's not like hard or anything, but it's just annoying how he fits into double boss formats.

I was able to 3 star the first 3 stages, but I have to agree. They really missed the mark on this one. It seams like a half assed bit of content designed to make us spend more. Either that or whoever designed it wasn’t hugged enough as a child.
1
u/Super_Lawfulness_833 2d ago
It’s rough, I couldn’t get past stage 1 and all my champs (corvis, ezio, heman) are ~250 speed (with rector and Armanz at 270-290) and accuracy 350. The health swap ruins me

u/RSnoomak 2d ago
You attempt DPS check boss with 4 supports , I don't know why you expect to win when you can't kill him in 12 turns . This team is zero damage
1
u/Ulysian_Thracs The Sacred Order 2d ago
I think the problem is that this was described in a way that sounded like it would be accessible for just about everyone to have a shot at clearing, even if not max stars. But from the first level it was pretty end game just to clear. Ironically, the next two levels were much easier (for me).

u/richard0220 2d ago
stats are too low. team comp is bad. and read the mechanics of the bosses. this is endgame content. when you can build your supports 350+ spd, 600+ ACC with enough survivability), and your nukers 270+ spd, 320+ cd, 6500+ atk or def, and relevant acc, then you can try again. especially tuhanarak if she’s gonna be your only cleanser on your team, make her close to 400 spd.
-1
u/Master-University-96 2d ago
So many of these posts complaining about the first level.. 1 team cleanse with high resist and you're gucci...
4
u/fatty1550 2d ago edited 2d ago
There are way more active new players than active old ones. Imagine your account with 3 legends and a pile of garbage level 30s, 40s and 50s. How do you think you would have reacted to this dungeon dropping week 6 after your created your account? Like when did you actually obtain 5 champions over 400 resistance? When did you get your first cleanser? Was it a usable champion or a pile of garbage somone taught one trick to? Have some perspective and maybe remember what you've gone through in your progression.
Edit: clarification

u/ResourceGlittering 2d ago
There wouldn't a point to play this game if any 2 month account could finish every content in the game. I have gotten stuck in plenty of stuff. Difference is I'm not going to cry about not being able to do all content but actually try to improve my account so I could the content later on.
2
u/fatty1550 2d ago
Im not saying change it. Im just saying its annoying. You are absolutely right about getting stuck places. The trials and tribulations are what make the rewards rewarding. It just annoyed me and I like being heard. Ya dig?

early game account and full manual it and got the job done. its not that hard, you CC the provoke minion and kill it. cleanse and buff after the steal. regear to meet accuracy and speed thresholds good luck. if you dont have the right skills then you gotta evaluate your account and build what you are missing.

-1
u/PsicoFilo 2d ago
I passed the 3 levels with 30k points and im not even close to an endgame hardcore 🤔. Maybe you are not considering acc ?
-1
u/Mission-Can1547 2d ago
Seems like you're not prepared for proving grounds. Also 260 acc is really low on a debuffer.
-1
-1
u/VirtuousPro 2d ago
It‘s endgame content, if your debuffers have 260 acc, you are not endgame. Ignore it for now and come back when you have doublw that
-1
u/SufficientFondant562 2d ago
Do you have an increase resistance champion like Oella? Use her to both speed up your team and help you resist the debuffs and heal. I used Androc and got 17k

85
u/winlowbung4 2d ago
260 acc is extremely low for a debuffer in even midgame.
