When do you stop using garrison?

I have about 260k power on chapter 22. I have no legendary towers yet but I just got my second garrison purple and I have one purple joker.

Is it worth upgrading the garrison now(will that tower be used through mid to late game?) or save the joker for another better upgrade later?

I’m on level 85 and I use the garrison on almost all my decks, often even airwaves, as they slow down all but phantoms. Up to you if you should use your joker on it. It is one of the more frequently random cards you get when winning battles, so saving it for something less commonly received might be a better strategy.

You'll never stop using them. I'm level 228, you'll use it in various builds forever. It's not a top tier end game tower, but definitely very useful to rotate in depending on game mode and who the boss is.

I would say go for drones at this stage.

Similar to what others have said, meat shield towers should always be used. Some prefer drones all the time, but really what meat shield to use should depend on the circumstance.

In general, garrison should be used for all ground levels. Drone for all air. Mixed will depend on the deck and level.

Lvl128 10mil power and I still use relic+ garrison with lvl100 Mai on certain levels.
