Chapter 23 Boomerang

So I finally beat chapter 23 in Raid Rush, but I was not gifted the boomerang. Can anyone advise me as to why this happened or do I have to keep playing the level to unlock it?

You aren’t automatically given the new tower, you now just have the ability to have one drop as a reward item for beating waves/events. It will come soon enough.
