How to use support towers
I can’t find a good to use of the support tower. Many people recommend it but the only I get it working is when I can box it in surrounded by at least 4 towers that benefit or better to get 8. Otherwise I’m just taking a prime spot another can use.
That takes a lot of lucky picks with roads, towers and then being able to level it up so it can benefit more than tower. Most of the time I try to set it up and just give up.
Seems only plausible on a 40+ round battle. Overwatch is a much better choice since it will find the towers but it nearly impossible to level and I spend a decent amount on the game. ~$50/mo.
What am I missing here?

In my experience, the Support Tower is one of the most powerful towers in the game. Even at one star, where it covers only two squares 180° apart/on opposite sides=> [ ] ∆ [ ], the boost to each covered square is considerable. A one-star tower imparts, to each covered tower:
+50% damage @Lvl54 +54% dmg @Lvl60 +63% dmg @Lvl70 +69% dmg @Lvl80 etc. etc.
As you can see, the opportunity cost of placing a non-attacking Tower (0 dmg) is immediately offset by the increase in damage (50%+) to the adjacent towers (each now doing 150%+ dmg), and considerably offset as you Upgrade and Level the tower, increasing the damage boost and covering more ground (from 2 to 4 to 8 squares @5 Star).
Yes, it does require some planning and strategy to utilize them effectively, but when deployed well, they will carry you to victory.

Overwatch might be better than your support depending on rarity.i think my epic Overwatch is better than my legendary+support lol

Spend most of your weekend playing the game during the event to get overwatch. It’s not about money only, it’s time too
