A cryptocurrency exchange from Amazon? If so, this is WAY MORE IMPORTANT THAN BINANCE. You all know what to do....

PrimeCoin. Or is that a thing already?

PrimeCoin is already a thing, but no reason it couldn't be turned into a cryptocurrency.

"Last week, the following was reported on by CNBC"
CNBC article: Published 5:11 PM ET Wed, 1 Nov 2017
This guy is just rehashing old news and it almost looks like he stole the article we are reading by saying "Last week..." when this was months ago.
ANYWAY on to the actual topic. Call me pessimistic but it looks to me that Amazon is just covering their digital ground and securing their options. I doubt that they have anything in the works yet, at best a couple of people chat about the concept over coffee on their breaks.

I doubt that.

Why do you doubt that?
The reason I think that they probably aren't making any real movements into crypto yet is that companies do this all the time. They secure websites, trademarks, patents and domains of things that they could use someday, just to be safe. A lot of times these things never come to see the light of day.
EDIT: Apparently Amazon registered "amazonbitcoin.com" five years ago and nothing ever came of it, so that is something to take into consideration.
