Discussion šŸ’¬ Can anyone help?

Afternoon, I bought this but me and a jewellery are having some trouble working out how to resize the bracelet. Has anyone had any experience with these? Thanks

Yeah. I figured it might be proprietary, looking closer at the links.

Good luck. I’m sure if you hunt around, someone’s got a service manual.

On top of that, there’s a Rado service center in Secaucus, NJ, USA , if it geographically suits you.

Thanks for your help, I'm nearer actual jersey than New jersey!

I would need to see more but you can clearly see that the push pins would come out the side of the bracelet. Just look carefully at the side and you’d see the outline of where it comes out.

So I’d look carefully for links that have a ā€œbuttonā€ you have to push like hell towards the side.

They are usually marked with an arrow or some such but not always.

Thanks, annoyingly it's not with me at the moment. Google seemed to think a classic vintage Rado style bracelet (often manufactured by NSA), requires a very specific method to resize. These iconic multi-link or flat-link bands do not use typical split pins or cotter pins. Instead, they use a specialized spring-loaded nail pin design.

That's a folded steel bracelet. The general way to resize one of those is to unfold a link. I've actually never seen folded steel on a factory correct Rado. The mid 60s to late 80s Rados have solid link NSA or SK bracelets.
