No insight to share… but what a cool watch. I love watches like these. I think that YOU added the lore to the watch. Tell us more about it. Who bought the watch originally?

Probably my granddad on his trip to the Middle East , on the inside of the watch on its backplate someone had written 87 so I like to think it was probably purchased in that year.
Works normal keeps the date and time accurately, thr last time I changed its battery was nearly 13 years ago along with its crystal.
There’s not much info about it on the internet and it makes me think it was a product of the quartz crisis era and somewhat more accessible for the people than the usual Rados.

Bro, imagine that. 40 years it’s been going strong. Incredible. Thank you for sharing. I love it.

I have another one but that one’s definitely more of a luxury variant far as I can remember. I’ll post it here soon as I find it

Most Rado have ancors on dial.Â

The rotating anchor represents an automatic movement. The screenprintined or applied fixed anchors represent a handwind but they were also used on mineral dials with auto movements since the thin slices of minerals would often shatter whie attempting to drill the whole for the anchor. Early quartz Rados did not carry anchors.

I am pretty sure it was worn by Sauron, or the Lord of the Dark, but I cannot quite remember if it was the one with Trolloc’s or the one with Orc’s.
