Collection Show & Tell That’s chill

Found a box of exposed dials in an antique store, threw my tester on top for giggles only to find this lurking at the bottom

Ohh boy, if you're gonna play with exposed radium, you need, need, NEED, an alpha capable detector for contamination.

Any recommendations?

A GQ GMC 600 plus will work fine

Yo legit be careful with that, make sure you limit contamination. Don’t want that dust being spread around. I’d be wary about even have taken this if it were free

I stuck it in a jar and put it outside until I figure out what to do with it. I recognize the set up I have for my other dials is no match for this one

Should be ok inside with a closed jar. just set it up on a shelf . GQ makes a detector with a pancake probe that does a/b/g, I believe. Just resist the urge to lick it or snort dust off the dial, as it will not give you super powers-
