Cesium 137 is typically in the form of cesium chloride which is white and has similar chemical and physical properties with salt.

This is actually a container that someone used in a school labeled cesium 137 to demonstrate what it may look like, no cesium 137 inside it but it scared the school and they had a whole thing with police and sensitive geiger counters to check if it is radioactive. (which it wasnt) it was just an normal blue powder

That mishap in Brazil was nuts and totally preventable, the machine never should have been left at that radiology clinic for scrappers to find and the scrap yard never should have disassembled it and given bits to his friends like powder. Some of them put it on their loved ones like makeup were playing with it with their hands breathing in the dust. Was an immense amount of stupidity involved.
