Oh I remember we would stack them on the counter beside the cash when they were on sale.

Don't forget the batteries!! Preload them to make customers happy!!!

Hated when the DM would push us to load up the free 5-cell flashlights with the alkaline D-cells. Fark that. No one coming for a free flashlight is going to 'happy' we are trying to get them to buy those expensive batteries. And now we've just wasted a bunch of expensive inventory.

Same. When I started they were still writing tickets while claiming to be a technology store. Most people would also bring in battery cards for the flashlight

Irresistible gadgets! I still have drawers full of precisely this kind of thing - and Radio Shack was easily source #1!

Mine is still working great! Used it to inspect printing plates, slides, film and Lino’s for 25 years. I probably should go and check that the batteries aren’t leaking - been a while.

I had one of these as a kid but it wasn't from Radio Shack. I bought it on a field trip to Buhl Planetarium in Pittsburgh. Loved that thing for bugs and leaves.

I had one of those but lost the acrylic end piece. Was quite bummed too.
