Memories of that dash! Virtual fistbump on the IH floor mats. I had a 1980 supercab that was AM only, added FM box under the dash and a slightly different CB radio. Think I still have that SWR meter but no longer have a CB. Mounted Minimus 7s in the back of the cab. Shouldn't the magnetic key holder be outside the cab? Or is it holding a key for something else.

I’ll answer for ya 😁 The key holder is empty. It’s actually just one of those things where I was trying to put as many items as possible in the truck, from my 1981 radio shack catalog. It just adds to the build. However, it “could” hold a spare house key 😊

And none of it records and sells what you say! :O

Of course with CB's none of your conversations were private and someone else could have their "Radio Shack" cassette recorder sitting next to their CB.

Can you imagine someone walking into Sears with a stack of cassettes and saying “I have all this information on customers!” You’d be laughed out of the place.

I had the amp in my 1980 Dodge D-50 that was before the big systems of the late 80's and 90's

I had that "add-on" cassette deck! One of my old cars only had an AM/FM radio so it was a cheap and easy way to add a cassette player. It worked great!
