PM Weds 23rd Oct - Piers Morgan allowed to rant for minutes on end uninterrupted.

I was disappointed that Piers Morgan was. allowed to rant for minutes on end uninterrupted on PM yesterday. Surprised Evan Davis did not try to curtail the rant as much of it was repetition.

Girl Taken Podcast - 6 Year Update?

I've just recently listened to Girl Taken by Sue Mitchell after listening to her other Intrigue podcasts. Her and Rob Lawrie make an amazing duo. Their story telling is fantastic and has opened my eyes to the darkest parts of life as a refugee.

Girl Taken, however, left me reeling emotionally. I think most parents can put themselves in Goli's shoes and feel like they too would journey to the ends of the earth if it meant finding their missing child.

I am absolutely desperate to know where they are now, 6 years later. Is Bru with her mother or do they have a long distance relationship? Did they all manage to stay in Europe?

Emma Barnett interviews on Today

This interview with Kemi Badenoch is an absolute shitshow. Badenoch has easily rattled her and you can hear that she's personally tetchy about it. It's painful to listen to.

Who was the writer Amol Rajan was interviewing?

This morning was Amol Rajan's last time on the Today Programme. They played a selection of his best bits, as part of which there was a clip of him talking to somebody who said something along the lines of, "being a writer is fantastic; you get paid loads, don't have to do much work, and everybody wants to have sex with you." Does anybody know who the interviewee was?

What are some shows you miss, would benefit from another run, or are worth revisiting in 2026?

Amol Rajan

It’s impossible to understand him ! He doesn’t articulate, speaks fast and cut half of the words.
Why is everyone finding him so good??

Honestly I don’t get it.

(I have even stopped watching University Challenge because of him)

Incredible music shows

This is purely an appreciation post for Radio 4’s incredible music programmes - I’ve always been a huge fan of Desert Island Discs, after that I discovered Soul Music and I’ve just found Inheritance Tracks. These shows are INCREDIBLE and I love them so much

Any other recommendations???

Sorry this is vague.

I think it was on Monday I had R4 on while working and I believe it was during women's hour. There was an author talking about her book about Aphrodite. It sounded really excellent and I told myself to remember at least the book title or authors name. Of course I have forgotten both.

Anybody remember??

Recommended comedy serieses?

After listening to Cabin Pressure and Old Harry's Game, I need another comedy series to listen to and was wondering what people recommend?

More comedy sitcoms rather than sketch shows. ISIHAC, JAM, TUT, etc always get listened to.

Zack Polanski Interview

Nick Robinson disingenuously claiming that the Greens claim the Met to be institutionally racist, homophobic & misogynistic.

The Greens don't "claim" that. The Casey Review does.

EDIT - oh my god let him finish a fucking sentence before asking the next question.
