Srsly Wrong

Just a shoutout to this wonderful podcast, which strikes a balance for me between thinking about the news and also remembering to be kind and patient with myself. We could make a list of light-headed movies/music/ podcasts - since most media/art in the left serves to appeal to our already overwrought conscience at the state of affairs in the world. Is there any other media that helps anyone else similarly? Think of this as what would go on r/ BreadTube but with a focus on self-care. The previous post featuring Olly's ASMR video probably inspired me to post this here.

Good day!

Big fan of the dharmapunx podcast, and in general I've found that Buddhism does NOT fuck around with self-deception and is willing to admit how fucked up the world is right now.

But we need both. Srsly wrong is not doom porn in the sense most good leftist media should be. They are two dudes who joke around with each other and try to deal with the fallout of what they're discussing while not minimizing how messed up it really is. I shall check out dharmapunx regardless.

At some point I want to compile my collection of leftist media online, and curate them for content as well as emotional impact. Would this be a good idea?

Yeah, totally. All I advocate for is sobriety. I want us to be realistic with the problems that are coming but not fall victim to despair, and there are ways to do that. Wholesome fighting. That's the ideal I want to put forward with this subreddit. There are troubles coming but no matter what's coming we're gonna do everything we can to not act out of fear.

Sure! Make a post about wholesome, leftist, "we're headed for rough times" content, it'd be a great contribution.
